The right side? OURS. I can't remember off the top of my head if that includes part of the middle piece there, but I don't think it does. But I love the little porch and the shady trees and the old, old, old house architecture. I wish I could place when it was built, but I'm not great at placing that sort of thing from the front and inside. I'll post pictures when we get the keys (I need to take photos pre-move-in anyhow).

There's lots of trees in the back yard, too. Or a few HUGE trees, I don't remember. But it should be really nice in the spring/summer.

Only downsides: outside parking (we've been spoiled by a heated garage and, previously at the trailer, a carport) and a steep driveway. But, hey, whatever. I'll scrape the car off in the cold every morning happily for this.

It really doesn't seem like a whole lot. But I'm still $125 in the hole and nothing is biting for interviews. I'm getting just a LITTLE pissy. I have food for TJ and I, we're not without that. But everything else? Yeah, that's a little fucked. I can scrounge /something/ up for the critters, but it's not going to last long.

Everyone else here (locally) seems to be just as broke as we are or simply too stingy with their money to toss a $20 or something my way.

I'm just so pissed. I'm missing my classes, not because I've got apathy or want to just hide from everything. I'm missing my fucking classes because I don't have the fucking gas to get out of my fucking driveway and I'm probably going to fail the two I still kept. All because of fucking dumb shit like this.

Yesterday...or the day before, we did some yard work. Cut down a bunch of weeds on the side of the house and mowed part of the backyard. Found two toads, three tree frogs and dklhgdklfhkldfhfdEARWIGS. D: D: D:

Today, I went out to my mom's for a cookout/picnic thing. It was nice to get out of the house and get free food. She mad italian sausage and peppers, steak, chicken. It wasn't as obnoxious as I expected it to be. But I think i've simply gotten to the point that I really don't take anyone's shit any more.

Freaking next door kid, Aaron/Erin (I don't know which spelling it is) was on my ass all night. He's a little younger than myself (probably early twenties, if that) and he knows I have someone. So I couldn't clearly tell if he was just TALKING AND TALKING AND TALKING to find something that he touched base on with me or if he was just really bad at flirting. I didn't care either way because he was too spazzy for me to bother keeping track of. Plus, everyone was drinking beer and that makes everyone weird.

HOWEVER.

I got him away for awhile while we were skeet shooting with shotguns. Bud and John showed me how (because, hey, I've never shot a gun before. first time for everything!) and I ended up hitting three or four skeets and he hadn't hit any, I guess. I laughed pretty hard when I found this out. I'm sure my shoulder will be aching in the morning, but the recoil wasn't too bad. I shot John's shotgun first because it didn't have as much of a kick back, then I shot Bud's because he was saying it had a harder recoil. Apparently, the other guys don't like shooting Bud's because of this, but it really wasn't much of a difference to me.

But one-upping people? I'll admit, I have a bit of that Aries competitiveness in me.

Closer to evening, Aaron/Erin and the other girl my age (who is the daughter of the woman my mom was at the house on Belmont with when she was tricking) disappear to the apartment behind the houses (there's two houses and what used to be a garage that's been converted into an apartment). To which I rolled my eyes dramatically because who the fuck sleeps with someone they've JUST MET. Literally. JUST. MET. THAT. NIGHT. I don't get it. Should I? I don't know. But I think it's REALLY TRASHY. Goddamn.

Then, before we left, chica and her mom get into an argument over something petty and stupid because chick had WAY too many beers and was being belligerant. It was hilarious and I couldn't stop laughing at how fuckall stupid people can be. My reaction was pretty much 'ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS??'.

But, overall, not a bad night, I suppose. I'm home now and lulz RPing with the fags. My critters are happy and tomorrow my mom's coming into town to pay for TJ's college registration.

Speaking of, I had a horrid nightmare that I was required to take come calculus test or something and I was flipping out and almost crying because, fuck if I know how to do calculus or even remember what I may have learned in school.

In news that isn't my brain being a retard.

Tiki Con Cleveland is this coming weekend. I need to call Dawn back and see when she needs us up there. My money is pretty tight now that Anthrocon is over and I'm waiting on callbacks from jobs. But, we'll see. We're gonna staff at least one day, I'm sure. But it's just a pain in the ass to get there and back (because I don't think there will be staff lodging anywhere. there isn't a 'con hotel' because this was so quickly planned.) three days, but we can probably do it for two. I'll have to give Rob a call and see if he's staffing as well. Perhaps we can car pool.

On the up side, I'll have some free Moo cards I ordered if I want to give any away. I should have gotten some with my human art on them, but it didn't even dawn on me that I'd probably get them before the weekend anyhow. :/ Lame.

I need to redesign my website. And write up a new commission page since FA's is STILL DOWN for absurd reasons and I accidentally overwrote my old one with the last layout update I did.

The only other place I have commission info is on my artblog. But I'd like something more professional looking. Also, something that has my updated commissions I offer, since traditional badges are only going to be at conventions now.

I'd also like for the Furtopia FTP to be working again. I know they moved/fixed/upgraded/whatever the servers, but I STILL can't connect and I FUCKING HATE the web FTP because it's slow as balls.

Squeeji and Elliot left this morning. The house is strangely quiet in comparison to the noise and mayhem it held the last week. I'm still tip-toeing around quietly because I think people are sleeping and such. But just TJ is snoring downstairs.

I also discovered I have a bag of Angie's markers, as well! D: So I'll have to get those back to her at some point in the future.

We all determined if we're doing AC next year, we're pre-registering and shit. D: Especially if the price of admission might be going up. There's also been talks of a Dealer's table, since it's only $75 (as of now) and that includes admission. But, as usual, I'd want to get some kind of merchandise together first. I hate relying only on commissions to float me money-wise. And, I'm not STUCK behind a Dealer's table, we can swap out and give each other breaks.

So we'll see. It's too early to plan that far ahead still.

Hey, it's 3AM and almost 60F!

I have more cleaning to do today. BUT! I got the front room nice and organized and the downstairs bedroom mostly cleaned. I need to migrate some blankets down there still. And migrate some fabric upstairs. The house is actually looking like a home! Or, starting to!

The living room downstairs is cluttered still, need to clean that. And the downstairs bathroom. The critter room needs an overhaul and....the kitchen. Oh, how I hate the kitchen. So much work needs done there.

Maybe I'll work on the kitchen and the bathroom today, because the other rooms have small things that need done to them.

Hopefully, I can get more cleaning done despite CRAMPS.

I discovered today that I CAN'T read Steve/Tony fics. I mean, I'm not a fangirl for the pairing outside of lulzy purposes, but TJ sent me a fic from the person who wrote the HOT Tony/Emma (I almost typed Steve/Emma, which kinda made my head break) fic (which had brief mention of Steve/Tony). But I couldn't get through it. I got, like, a third of the way and I was like 'I CAN'T SEE THIS WITH EITHER CHARACTER OH GOD SO COMPLETELY WRONG' and I had to close it out.

I don't mind well drawn art of the pair, or even lulzy are of the pair. But it's definately not a serious pairing for me.

I'm actually kinda glad that I couldn't enjoy the fic because then that'd been a swiftly declining slope into faggotry.

We lost Walter today, but we'd been expecting it. He'd been having the death crazies (where they try to run off to find somewhere to die) and we'd put him in one of the smaller cages so he wouldn't hurt himself. And he was pretty content by himself and he went quietly earlier this evening.

There was, like, 6" out when I walked to the store this morning. My tracks are completely covered now. I kinda want to go out and jump around in it, but I don't want to ruin the pristine look.

I feel better. Finally. I called off work because I just felt like SUCH CRAP. I threw up twice and I was so anxious/fidgity that I was in and out of bed for hours. I was so, so, SO tired, but I couldn't fall asleep. But I also didn't feel well enough to sit at my computer for a long time.

Then I got a migraine and every time I stood up was like hell.

Eventually, my stomach calmed down and I decided it was safe enough to take some aspirin and eat a little but of something (which equated to a third of a granola bar). And once my headache died down a little, I walked up to the store because I was craving ice cream.

Six inches of snow and about a half our later, I was tired as fuck and I fell asleep while me and TJ watched the Venture Brothers.

Then, I got a huge dent in getting clothes gathered. Trying to cut down on what we're going to take to Squeeji's since (sadly) TJ can't fit a lot of her old clothes and, well, there's a lot of stuff we're probably just not going to wear or even have a reason to wear (goth dresses, clubbing clothes, etc., etc.). So I'm trying to keep it to jeans/tees/winter clothes and one or two cute things each.

I've got SO much downsizing to do. I don't want a packed to the rims car adventure out to SD like it was to WA. I'd like some breathing room, to be honest. Gotta put the roof rack back on, as well. Really, the main thing that takes up SO. MUCH. SPACE. are the computers. They pretty much fill up the trunk. But I can get our bedding + the computers in there and the blankets provide good cushioning for the monitor screens.

Monster babies go in the backseat. I think they all have carriers this time, too. I can put the bottom pieces of their cages on the roof rack and the metal cage parts either up there, or against the back seat. Or, possibly, on the bottom of the trunk. We'll see.

Blah blah blah, I babble a lot when I'm brainstorming moving, really.

Also, I have, like, NO BALANCE lately. I just can't find my center when I stand up and end up stumbling around until I do. :/ I just feel really weak, but it's probably because I haven't eaten a whole lot since sometime yesterday.
