This morning, I woke up at 1:30AM. I worked at 2AM. As you can tell, I missed my midnight alarm. But I made it to work on time, so all is well.

Almost a whole eight hours of work today! Yaay!

Finally buckling down and trying to organize shit in the house. Starting with the downstairs that still has boxes of things from Seattle lying about.

I'm dragging all the fur and craft stuff downstairs to organize it. I wanted to keep everything upstairs and move the couch upstairs, but I tried that already and the couch is too damn tall to stand on the top landing to I can shift it and move it into the front room. SO, everything goes downstairs. Plus, the fan/light in the front upstairs room has a bad wire in it and the lights flicker when it's on. I don't trust it, so I just took all the lights out of it and turned it off. I'm not going to worry about something sparking and setting the damn place on fire.

We have a lot of craft stuff. And fleece. And fur. And...stuff in general. x_x

I hope I can find some fixtures to put the shelves up in the bedroom. There's a few in other rooms in the house in rooms we're not using, so I'm going to take one or two and put it in the bedroom to put our toys and stuff up on. Get things up off of dressers and computers...so we can put new things in their place, obviously. :D

The kittens are confused and excisted with all the activity going on. They keep following me up and down the stairs and attacking things I'm working on. They're really quite useless.

Now Dean has reclaimed his space on my desk. RIGHT in front of my computer.

Ah, cats. Like obnoxious fuzzy roommates.

A few hours later and a small dent in cleaning. Downstairs main room is somewhat organized. There's yards of fur all over the place, however, but it's a start. I need to stop at Joann's tomorrow or something and see if they have any extra bolts so I can roll the fur that's over a yard length up.

I also need to sort through the craft SUPPLIES. Needles, elastic, thread, etc., etc. Get that organized instead of all piled in one tote, staring at me menacingly.

I've got a new layout at my journal. It's by [livejournal.com profile] unequally and it's pretty sexy. You can find it here, if you like it.

I also FINALLY updated my userinfo all nice and simple. With binary! I am the win.

[18:41] Squeeji: We thought of you last night at midnight
[18:41] TJ: lol why?
[18:42] Squeej: it hit midnight and we heard a odd noise and elliott just looked at me and grinned, and I laughed and we both decided that had to be you coming explosively at the release of Ironman
[18:43] Squeeji: We never did find the actual source of said sound
[18:43] TJ: ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff
[18:43] Squeeji: So it had to have been you
[18:43] TJ: *pops a lung laughing*

Speaking of Squeeji, she drew a Tony for us...

Cut for...is that a speedo? Man panties? What? )

I walked up to the Jamestown Plaza to acquire a belt for the sweeper, as the previous one had broken. I checked the dollar stores first, to no avail. And, after walking across the street to check the Family Dollar, it began DOWNPOURING. Thankfully, TJ had mentioned it might rain, so I grabbed my umbrella before I left. but I still ended up with my butt to my feet being soaked in the back. Ah well. I did find a belt at Giant Eagle, but I should've gotten sweeper bags, too. As the one in the sweeper is full. :/ So I can't actually do any of the cleaning I WANTED to do until I get one. But, at least, I can get the clothes organized (cause they need washed) and...attempt to get the kitchen clean.

Dishes are the bane of my existence. I can keep everyone elses' kitchen clean. Wash my dishes when I'm done, was my pots and pans when I'm done. But in my own kitchen? The one I should care about? Nope. I let dirty dishes sit in the sink for weeks. I'll get the motivation to clean and I'll put everything in clean, hot water to soak and I'll just...never get around to it. It's really awful. I know I should be better about it, but I can't bring myself to be. Maybe I need to hide all but one piece of everything for both me and TJ and then, when we don't have anything to use, I HAVE to clean them. And then there's only a handful of things to clean instead of eight handfuls of crap in the sink. Staring at me.

I can generally keep my cookware pretty clean, as I use it regurarly. I guess this is good?

I've been trying to learn the S2 style system because I want to start making layouts again. I've been inspired by some designers here on LJ that I've snagged layouts from (the one I'm using currently, included). I miss making layouts that are ALL MY OWN. And most of LJ's default ones just aren't doing it for me anymore because I want a lot more customization.

But it's all CSS and stuff, so it's very out of my comfort zone. I can whip up a cool layout in HTML, but in CSS? Good god. So I'm just throwing myself into it and starting out by editing the default LJ codes. So far, it's not too bad, but there's some things that are aggravating me about how the CSS works. But, there's a lot of rescources out there for me to use so I should be able to figure it out.

Either way, it's something new and, hopefully, I'll conquer it!

I was writing up my grocery and such list for Friday when I saw what one of my lists for last payday was:

Mmmm, that's some good eatin'. I like the Sailor Jerry's up at the top the most. And Vitamin Water was on sale for, like, 20 for $10. <3<3

Okay, I don't know if this is even possible, or if anyone on my flist would know how to go about doing it.

I'm working on a new layout using the S1 system --> http://obliviousally.livejournal.com/data/customview?styleid=429292

Now, I want to know if there's a code to add the tags list and the calendar, like in my default Expressive layout, to an S1 style. I can't seem to find anything offhand, and I'm not sure if it's even possible without having to recode EVERYTHING. Which I don't want to do.

Also, I'd liek to know if I can add the tags to the bottom of an entry, like they are on my current layout.
