Thankfully it's a bit cooler today. Maybe I'll have the motivation to work on things!

List of shit to do in the next day or two...
  • find colors for Chhaya's suit
  • gather up things to get matted tomorrow
  • put something on the credit card
  • put something on the internet bill
  • house-related things (toilet paper, garbage bags, paper towels, paper plates)
  • flea stuff (carpet powder, spray)
  • critter food
  • people food

Ugh, I'm gonna be so broke. x_x But stupid Shank brought stupid fleas to the house and we've only seen a scarce few, but they need to go NOW before say, THE FERRET gets them. Speaking of Shank, he tried to BITE me last night. I was giving him food and he lept in the air and his teeth grazed my wrist. Bastard. Thankfully, the rats are generally less likely to have the fleas stick around on them. They never seemed to when we had them at Angie's, at least. But I don't want to be infested with fleas. And Al SHOULD be the one to have to buy flea treatment, since HE'S the reason Shank is absolutely covered in them. But I don't see that happening.

I need to wrap up some of these big commissions so I can take on a few more. :/

This scares the crap out of me. An Elfquest movie years ago would have been highly anticipated by me. More specifically and ANIMATED Elfquest movie. I'm not bashing the director or even the thought of a movie (which, if well done, would be fabulous). It just feels...not right somehow. :/

For those who don't read TJ's LJ:

Remember the rabbit, Shank, who we got from the fair last year?

Well, I don't remember if I posted, but he went to live with TJ's mom's fiancee, Al. this was well and good at first. We didn't realized bunnies were so...boring. And he was happy to take him in. He was fed and watered and got toys and attention. Not a lot of out-of-cage time, but we weren't able to give him much either. But he had a very roomy ferret cage, at least. We'd come over to clean his cage periodically, as well.

A year passes (roughly). After coming back from Seattle Al asks us if we'll come clean the cage.

IT HADN'T BEEN CLEANED IN EIGHT MONTHS. He just kept piling hay on top of shit and there were AT LEAST five inches of filth and hay in the cage.

Shank's nails are OVERGROWN. Hell, overgrown is an UNDERSTATEMENT. One is AT LEAST an inch and a half long.

We ASSUMED he would be in good care, because Al takes care of all the animals around his place. But he wasn't.

On top of that, he's ABSOLUTELY INFESTED with FLEAS. They're THICK on the back of his neck. It's appalling.

We're going to clean him up and then adopt him out to a good, knowledgable home who will actually give two fucks about him. That, or a rabbit rescue. We would keep him, but we wouldn't be able to spend the time with him. That's why we let Al have him in the first place. He got more attention over there than he did from us.

So, yeah.

Epic fail.
