...and I'm posting to LJ. Of course.

AUGH KAT BIT ME.

Anyhow.

Kenya Dig It was AWESOME. We met up with cajunfox and squnq around, like, 7PM. And then wasted two hours in the rain for the venue to open up. We got pizza and chatted alot. Finalyl got in the venue after waiting in like for 20-30 minutes for ID checks and security (which was very low key and friendly). We also met up with neogeen and weezl, who are also awesome. TJ and Neo were wearing CREEPILY similar shirts (goldfish/shark themed).

And then, we DANCED. We stayed until around 2:30AM (a little after the others headed out), cause we were hungry. We didn't find foods on the way home (everywhere was closed on account of it being New Years Day. Pah.). But we rummaged up foods when we got home. And then we laid around and talked. Yay!

And then me and TJ crashed for 12 hours. It was pretty nice.

Also! Cajun! Sorry I didn't call today! D: I was, uh, asleep. As stated previously. If you're still around tomorrow I'll give you a call cause I think we're going into Hamilton to hit up Ottawa St. for fabirc shopping. Or something like that.

We're heading back home on Wednesday. It should be a nice drive, as well, the weather's supposed to be really nice, as well.

And we still have monies! Amazing! :D

OH! We went to Pacific Mall on...uh...the other day. X3 Scored the Apple Decorer Pocky and some Honey Pocky. As well as some Chili Pretz and the French Toast Pretz. also, the rame is SO EXPENSIVE up here. D: OH! I also got some of that sweet honey bread for $2. Which would run be around $4 back home. :3 :3 Yum!

Leaving for CANADALAND in about 5.5 hours. Hurrah!

I'm...not done cleaning. But I'm pretty much done packing. All the vital things, like clothes and medicine and stuff. I cleaned the remaining critter cages. Fed and watered everyone. I need to clean the kitchen.

I also need to clean the car out, which I'll be doing after this CD finishes burning. To see if it'll work. :O

Luckily I've had coffee.

And TJ's chewing on my ear. WTF.

Okay, I'm finally home so I can make a nice LONG post about our vacation. Plus, I don't have to deal with the japanese Mac keyboards.

FROM THE BEGINNING....

Tuesday: Woke up early to get to the airport with time to spare. However, we were through check-in, baggage, AND security with TWO HOURS to spare. But I guess that's good. I had a shitty cafe mocha from Starbucks. And a shitty cheese danish from Starbucks. UGH. Mocha House ALL THE WAY.

Our flight was nice, except for TJ passing out on the plane from her cramps. But the flight attendants were REALLY nice and helpful. And we made it to Phoenix with no trouble. And then from there to San Fran where inaki picked us up and we traveled to smashwolf's place.

Now, see, Smash lives in the mountains. The Santa Cruz mountain range, to be exact. At an elevation of, about, 1,600 feet. These roads that you take there are not straight roads. They twist and turn and make squigglies all over the place. I was okay for a good 30 minutes, but then my stomach was not happy. But I made it to the house without puking.

Smash has a FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC house. This place is beautiful with a beautiful view. It's pretty awesome. And he's got a HUGE malamute named Indy who's a big lover. He came up to my hips, at the least.

We pretty much loafed about for the evening, meeting the other housemates and, I think we got pizza. Tasty meat pizza. And watched Serenity, which was kinda 'eh'.

Wednesday: Wednesday was a lazy day. We hung around the house and finished up the thylacine suit. I can't remember if a whole lot went on. Met a couple of Smash's buddies who stopped by, too.

Thursday: We headed out for FC pretty early in the day. Had fun figuring out how to fit everything in Inaki's car. But I prevailed with my awesome packing skills. We got to the hotel around...12PM or so, didn't get to check in until, like, 3PM, which sucked. But oh well. We pretty much milled about an met people until we got the room set up. Peeped into the dance, but didn't do a whole lot. Thursday at FC is mostly setup, so there really wasn't a whole lot going on. Met graelin and Talesin, who was rooming with us.

We also discovered there was a group of babyfurs rooming two doors down from us. UGH. GROSS.

Friday: DEALER'S ROOM. ZOMG. First thing I did was stop by fireeyes' booth and get my bracelet. It's so cute, I love it. <3 Met a ton of people. Spent, like, $100 in the dealer's room in the first 20 minutes we were there. Bought a bunch of prints, TJ got a commission from Flinthoof and another really nice girl (I'll post the pics and links to artists later when I scan stuff). I picked up one of the PB & Jay portfolios and Genus: Male #5. Which sucked. But I hate John Barrett's art. UGH. I discovered that Goldenwolf's a right bitch. I'm sorry, but if people ar browsing your wares, say SOMETHING to them. A 'hi!' or a 'these are my prices' kinda thing DOESN'T HURT. It's fucking customer service. This determines if i even want to spend another second looking at your table. I don't care how much you get for your art, I don't care how much your originals have sold for. You're still human and you shouldn't act so damn uppity and pretentious. Christ. Get down off your shiny box and realize that you're just like everyone else in the dealer's room. Trying to make a living off your art. Yes, your art is beautiful. But, honey, there's a dozen more artists that can do the same level of work, if not better.

Friday evening was also the first lt3m party of the weekend. Was pretty lowkey compared to the other two. XD But it was fun. I think TJ got puking drunk at this party or the Saturday party. I don't remember. But she got drunk. Bicardi 151 will do that to you. She was hilarious for a good two house beforehand, but then she was in the toilet for the rest of the evening.

Saturday: Um....uh...What did happen Saturday? Woke up, headed down to the dealer's room again. Chatted with Miss Monster (who fucking ROCKS) and Dark Natasha (who fucking ROCKS, as well). Wandered around, waited for Fel to show up at his table so we could pester and talk with him. Talked to a ton of people, gawked at pretty fursuits, ate sushi for dinner. Met some people who were wanting to meet TJ who were actually really cool. XD

Another lt3m party went down. This time with polph (Tet/Arty) and pocket_entropy (Trixi/Vinci) taking the floor. Well, mostly Arty, cause he's a loudmouth and did an Ask Arty show live. It was freaking hilarious. XD Vinci kept dragging unsuspecting people into our room to get interviewed. There was lots of laughing and hilarity. I don't remember most of it, but it was pretty great.

We also attended the 'Adult Situations in Art' panel. Which was really just a little undercover bondage class. Was very nice and informative. And I learned how to properly tie ropes. :3

Sunday: Technically the last day of the con, as Monday is slated for clean up. Watched TJ and Inaki in the fursuit parade and saw TONS of cool suits. There were over 230 suiters there, including the ones who didn't participate in the parade. I don't remember a whole lot about what happened during the day on Sunday. It'll probably come back to me later...

Sunday evening, foxpalmer held a lt3m room party in his room. He had his freaking subwoofers hooked up. Such sexy oontz. <3<3<3 They were so pretty. People on the 9TH FLOOR complained cause they could feel/hear the music. ROCKING. Inaki got ALOT of crazy-good news about the station and it's kinda exploding in a gooey mess now. Which is good.

Prior to the room party, a mini-party went down in our room. Vinci and Arty showed up and graveyardgreg sang Love Shack for vinci. It was hilarious. And Batty/Talesin/Brighteyes was wasted, on the floor, dancing and singing. And vanst and alistor cuddled and made out on our bed. CUTE. kyhwana was there, as well. With beer in hand, as usual. XD

After we eventually returned to the room, we hung out with 5pl1ce and her friend (I don't know her name!) in the hallway for awhile. Gossping and talking about being anime constaff. Then we eventually headed off to beds, cause we had to get up before noon and check out of the hotel.

Monday: Got everything together and checked out on time, woot. Hung around the hotel for awhile, worrying we wouldn't be able to get ahold of Fel before leaving. Cause he wanted to go to the beach with us. Said our goodbyes to people and eventually someone got Fel's new number to us. We got up with him and a bunch of us decided to go out to eat. We went to The Cheesecake Factory and I had THE BEST CHEESECAKE EVER. Kahlua cheesecake. ZOMG. I wanted to die.

Afterwards, we headed out to Half Moon Bay in hopes that we would catch the sun set. We finally found a beach, after the sun dipped down below the horizon, but that didn't matter. TJ finally saw the ocean and I actually got in the water. Up to my knees, but still. It was worth it, despite it being freezing. I missed running from the waves and alive feeling that the ocean gives me. Fel even took his shoes off and ran in, which was pretty funny. And then we all stood on the rocks and watched the waves and dusk fall over the water. It was easily the best part of the trip. <3<3<3<3

We finally headed back to the hotel. Dropped Fel off and headed back to Smash's place to drop things off. We then went to........Ciao! Bella!!, which is easily THE BEST PLACE IN THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE. This could be, like, my home. I loved it. It's where the 80's went to die. I want my house to look like that when I get one. It's beautiful. MAGNIFICENT, I SAY. We were waited on by girls 'named' Elvis and Rebel. How cool is that?!?!

And they were totally playing Pink Floyd and me and Smash were singing along. XD

After, we went back to Smash's and crashed. Early flight back to Cleveland. The flight was nice, slept a bit, and TJ doesn't get wigged out when looking out the window anymore! Yay!

Overall, I'd love to attend FC again. I'm perfectly cool with flying now and I can't wait for the next time we go to Cali. <3<3

So, FC has been pretty damn awesome so far. Met ALOT of really cool peopleand bought a bunch of cool shit. Sat and talked with Dark Natasha and Miss Monster for a bit. Had sushi the other night. TJ drank too much rum last night at the LT3M room party...

I'd really type more, but they've got Mac's set up here for free interweb and I'v discovered that the keyboards SUCK. Ugh.

To keep track of things we'll need for the trip to California....

[_] Suitcases - need, at least....two more?
[_] Prepare storage container for TJ's suits. Labels, zip ties, duct tape, etc...
[_] Dig out summer clothes! Tank tops and stuff.
[_] Get medieval dresses from home?
[_] Get bathing suits from home!
[_] Make badges for the con?

Holy cow. We went out to a llitte sushi place last night for dinner and I had high quality, fresh-made-right-there sushi. The tuna was to die for. And the Dragon Rolls? Holy crap in a hat. I tried one of Fel's Philadelphia Rolls (they have Philadelphia Cream Cheese in them) and it was really good. Suprisingly so. I also tried eel, as well. I'd had it before, but in a roll, so I really didn't taste it. And whatever sause they used on the eel and the dragon rolls was SO GOOD. And the soy sauce was, like, the best ever. Best $30 we've spent in a long time. <3<3<3

Aside from sushi yesterday, me and Fel played, like, 30 minutes straight of DDR. I'm getting better at standard, too. Glee. <3 Alot of loafing was done and watching stuff. I doodled in Fel's sketchbook, best damn thing I've drawn in a good month. :O Bastards! But that's okay.

15 hour bus ride today, roughly. Only two transfers, though. I don't want to go home, but we must. The beasties are probably dying from their lack of love. I do hope Chuu's okay, though. He's getting so old and thin. :/ But he's had a good, long, happy life. And we've been able to spend almost every day with him, so when he goes we'll know his time with us was happy.

I should hopefully be acquiring a scanner soon, from someone or another. I think the scanner died because something wants me to work on my digital stuff (inking, mostly, I'm sure...) for awhile. Like when the computer died and I was forced to learn to use markers and stuff? Yeah, same concept, I'm sure. *fistshakes*

This weekend was great. Nothing bad happened, no huge tiffs (aside from a small one between me and TJ that no one really even noticed), somehow I ended up naked (I'll use the excuse that I was drunk. Yes. That's it. Drunk. No naughties involved! Pervos!), I got to meet super-uber-fantastic-cool people and get out of my shithole of a town.

However, we have to go back. And it's back to car hunting and stressing about college. I have the feeling it's going to be pushed back to spring again, because I don't see us getting a car by the end of the month AND having the money left over to get an apartment. :/ We've gonna have to get jobs in order to make up for the money spend on the car. Ah, yay for stress.

Blah.

But, for now, I'm not at home, so I'm not going to worry about home-things. I'm still on vacation until I step off the bus in Warren, and I'm going to enjoy every last remaining minute of it. <3

And now, back to watching Naruto...

Okay, a little better update now that I've gotten some sleepies and stuff.

The bus trip was mostly uneventful. Transfer in Pittsburgh consisted of getting a bunch of ghetto ass people on the bus. Including this asshole who sat behind us (he kicked this nice older man our of the seat cause 'he was there first'. Despite the fact that the idiot has left the bus and came back.) and took off his shoes and went to sleep. His fucking stank ass shoes were sitting right beside me and smelled like feet and ass. So I sprayed some of my blackberry and cream perfume in them. Ha-HA! We stopped at a rest place and got some foods about halfway to Philly. And then we had another transfer in Philly. An hour and a half sitting at a bus station not a half our from our actual destination. Amazing. inaki picked us up and we eventually got where we were going and got some nice, non-bus sleepies. Which mostly consisted of TJ falling asleep on me.

We woke up around 3PM and loafed. aulderbane came home and we made quesidillas(sp?) and then played DDR. Talked and stuff and then went over to the 7-11 for munchies and POP. Cause I drink a damn lot of pop.

Now we're watching Chronicles of Riddick (unrated, WHEE!) and chatting. Good times. :D

We now know where the Chinatown is in Philly (since that's where the bus station was, of course, nothing was open at 6AM :P), so we'll have to see if anyone wants to make the trip over there. :D
