In the last couple days we went and paid for TJ's registration up at KSUTC (thanks to my mother), we got some food, I set up my direct deposit stuff for my finanical aid, I got some shirts for work (gotta see if there's a pair of black pants somewhere here), picked up stuff for the critters (my goddamn animals eat better than I do), picked up a little bit of food and mostly loafed around.

I made chicken curry tonight. We'd bought some red curry paste awhile back (forever ago) and keep procrastinating on making it. But I had chicken breast today and some veggies, so I decided to whip it together. I really liked it, it has a nice flavor and just enough heat. Next time, however, we buy a bag of frozen veggies because I had a strang menagerie of vegetables in the fridge (bean pods, celery, zucchini, scallions, carrots)

I've been shopping around for a new computer. After my books, it's one of the first things I'm buying 'for school'. In reality, I've needed a new computer for a few years now and mine it finally reaching the point where I'm sick of it lagging for stupid reasons and not being able to work on hi-res stuff on it. It still runs just fine, there's nothing epically wrong with it. But I need a new computer like woah. The old computer will be assimilated into Possum (our storage comp) for extra space. Luckily, I've found some nice ones for under $400 (I'm looking to spend around $300-ish) with decent RAM and HDD space. But, really, ANYTHING is better than what I have now (512 SDRAM and 60GB of space) and I could finally get all my backup stuff OFF of TJ's computer, where it's currently taking up space. I don't need a new monitor, thankfully (I do love the one I have). Plus, I prefer CRT's because they show colors better. But, goddamn, I'd love a larger (though mine IS, like 15-17 inches) monitor, but they're all LCD.

I dunno, I'm feeling really good lately. I know I'm still pretty broke and starting a new job is always a bit of an aggravating experience. But I have a roof over my head and food in my fridge. I guess I can't complain too much. I've been spending a lot of time on Tumblr and browsing really inspiring photoblogs.

I also found a fabulous blog that reminds me so much of Poe and has some amazing pictures to boot: Curious Expeditions. I think my favorite entry over there is the picspam of gorgeous libraries from around the world.

I ran in to one of the ladies from work at Big Lots the other day. Got some juicy gossip. Apparently bitchy Deb FINALLY got moved out of Softlines and is now forced to work with the rest of the peons in Hardlines. MWHAHAHA. If I had known that was going to happen, I would've stuck around to witness it. Sweet justice.

I can't wait. So much crap I need to buy. Plus, food. I love foods. And we can finally use out $10 gift certificate for the pet store out in Stow that we love. I was worried it was going to expire (at the end of the month), but now it won't! :D :D

I'm trying to brainstorm what I NEED to get tomorrow (as long as the money hits on time). TJ's glasses are #1 PRIORITY. Food is #2, of course. I might look around for some cheap clothes. I need another pair or two of jeans (I only have two). I also want to pick up food storage containers for the critters and new water bottles. The new ferrets came with these NICE bottles that hooks outside their cage and the lid pops open so you can pour water into it. SO much easier than reaching in the cage and getting the bottles out. And they're larger, which is good. Especially when two regular bottles don't cut it for five boy rats.

Part of me wants to take a bit of the money and put it into acquiring some art merchandise to sell at AC this coming year. OR, at Tikicon if we get a table with our AWESOME PROJECT (which we should acquire some supplies for, as well). I'm kind of torn because it's putting out money for something I'm not going to see profit on for another five or six months. So...I don't know. D:

I set up an Etsy shop for my artwork. I still have those scrapbook pics lying around and I'd like to have them up somewhere where I can link them and sell them instead of constantly reposting them on auction sites.

It's over here. I dunno if I'll sell anything else there or if I'll just post ALL my prints/originals over there. Not really sure yet.

Today, I'm doing some early spring cleaning. the house really needs it and I'd like to have shit clean for if Angie visits again this coming weekend and, well, a clean house makes Ally happy. Despite the fact that my house is rarely clean. D: It's a lazy and unmotivated thing, really.

I spent the morning preparing some more things to be mailed out. And sent out orders for prints (belated commission prints, not PRINTS prints). I need to gather up address for people I've done commissions for so I can get the originals out of my hair and to their owners. I also need to see about making some sort of form system for potential customers, so I can get ALL the info I NEED in one go. Sort of like how Latin Vixen has her fursuit quote stuff set up. And it would (hopefully) help me keep things more organized.

I really need to get more organized. D: D:

I've been scouring around for good sticker/button making sites for future reference. I've heard nothing but good things about Mod Buttons and they have really good prices. Anyone know any really good sticker places? I know Paper Forest is good, but I don't want to have to make a $50 order every time I want to get some stickers. But I've also held their products in my hand. Their stickers are AMAZING. I have some on my sketchbook and they haven't even tried to peel up or dog-ear or ANYTHING. I also came across this place: Custom Sticker Makers. They seem to have really nice product, as well. High quality vinyl-esque stickers at REALLY good prices. I'm not really aiming for anything die-cut, so I don't have to worrk about that (and if I was going to do anything die-cut I'd go to Paper Forest anyhow).

Anyone know anywhere else?

I'm kind of trying to gather these things up and PLAN AHEAD for Anthrocon next year. And, uh, I love buttons and stickers. :V

TJ's got a chiropractor appointment today. And we've gotta pick up some food.

Squeeji'll be coming next week (I have to get the exact date). They're coming in to Cleveland via Greyhound because it's SUPER CHEAP. So that should be all sorts of fun. It's a good thing we're CRAZY FAMILIAR with the Cleveland Greyhound station from when TJ used to go to Canada.
