Okay, so. I have a love/hate relationship with fanmix.

I LOVE the concept of famixes and character music mixtapes and stuff. Obviously. I've been introduced to a lot of great music through there (and ljmixtape). However, I have my gripes.

Okay, listen. If you're going to make a fanmix about a character or pairing...make sure the music is appropriate. Gotta Get Through This and You’re the One That I Want on a Joker/Harley mix? No. Fall Out Boy on an Eddie Blake fanmix? NO. Some things just don't work. This is why it takes FOR. EV. ER. for me to put together a fanmix. Not only does the music need to be appropriate, as do the lyrics and everything else. The sound, the era, the theme. It's probably more work than I should put in to it.

Do I have retarded songs for some characters/pairings? Yes, of course I do. But when I'm making a mix, I want it to fit in with the source material. That's why my Eddie/Sally mix is going to be mostly Johnny Cash and Patsy Cline songs. And my high school alt-u mixes have appropriate music for the characters and such.

Also.

I rage far more at retarded pairings on there than anywhere else. Probably because it's the only place I'm exposed to them at because I don't get involved in a lot of the fandoms for things I'm interested in.

Lately, it's been Sam/Dean.

FFS I forgot to do my online discussion responses for writing because I got caught up reading. D: At least I did my topic replies, but I'm still going to get a shit grade. I really need to start busting ass to bring it up because I'm kind of letting myself down now.

We ran out and did some errands after class today.

Actually, speaking of class, we got our math midterm scores back. The class did so badly that we're allowed a re-take, which is apparently a BIG FUCKIN' DEAL. We're doing ours on Saturday because, yeah, we bombed that pretty hard. But everyone did, so I don't feel bad.

Okay, back to errands. Picked up some clearance Halloween stuff at Big Lots. I found an ADORABLE camera/MP3 player/media case for $4 there, as well. It's decorated with cherries. The one I really want is at Borders and has FUCKIN UNICORNS on it, but it's $10 and won't fit as much as this one will. I can still stick this one in my bag and it'll fit well. So I suppose I got a better deal in the long run.

We stopped at the library and returned two books we forgot about. Paid our fine and we found some new books. The graphic novel section is kind of a let down since we've read everything we want to right now. BUT! TJ found a gorgeous copy of Frankenstien that I decided to check out and I found John Winchester's Journal from Supernatural (which is what caused me to miss my writing stuff).

Then we went to the post office and waited far longer in line than we should have to mail out two things. Mailed out some fur we just sold and I mailed out v_e_r_a's package I intended to have out by Halloween, but I didn't get the chance. D: I also sent out a badge I kept forgetting to mail.

Then, home and laziness. I cleaned some cages and went around to give everyone food and water. Misfit has been a bit under the weather the last few days, but I think he's just come down with a cold. He's perked up a bit today, since I gave them medicine in their water. I'm sure he'll be fine, but I still worry.

All the other monsters are doing well, however. Trying to rehome the nude rat babies, too.

Been watching A LOT of Supernatural. We're on season four now, which means we might be caught up before season five is over! I already know some spoilers, because I can read them and STILL enjoy the material. It's the story I get caught up in. It's like how I can read Elfquest over and over and over despite knowing the spoilers and everything.

This is alt-u semi-Supernaturalverse Poe. Also, the Poe I'm going to be playing in a WoD game (except, of course, not anthro). It's very weird drawing Poe in something other than fancy clothes. But after breaking the engagement with Ryan and taking up full status as a hunter, those clothes aren't exactly the best to be hunting demons/vampire/shapeshifters/ectera in. Overall, not much changes between the two 'verses. Except for her sort of cheating on Ryan with someone before breaking things off (which was going to happen anyhow, since she didn't want him caught up in all the apocaplyse mayhem).

The second one is demon-possessed Poe. Which, if you could make out the one necklace she's wearing in the first image, wouldn't happen (it's the plated pentagram from the show), but I looked past that and said 'screw you, this is awesome'. I just wanted to draw Poe possessed and with the all black eyes. :3
