The Life I Lead - Paint It Clear

She said "please don't mess with my heart because ive been here once before"

Tell me what you see in me to have so much doubt when i see so clearly

we shined the best when we walked in the dark

Lovers in the room are ripping me in two
How could i feel nostalgia for world i never knew
Our hearts are in tune like the sun and the moon
hot and cold ,turn this up baby this is for you

I've been through way too many situations like this

Don't promise me love, when you've had enough of the world

You say that one day I'll be worth crying for
Well i say that one day, you'll be crying for me

Lovers in the room are ripping me in two

How could i feel nostalgia for world i never knew

Our hearts are in tune like the sun and the moon

hot and cold ,Turn this up baby this is for you

Your sweat isn't worth the tears
You're one of my biggest fears
The girl with the eyes of gold
To precious for me to hold

You say that one day I'll be worth crying for

Well i say that one day, you'll be crying for me.

Portugal. The Man - People Say

Save me,
I can't be saved,
I won't.
I'm a president's son,
I don't need no soul.

All the soldiers say
"It'll be alright,
we may make it through the war
if we make it through the night."
All the people, they say:
"What a lovely day, yeah, we won the war.
May have lost a million men, but we've got a million more."
All the people, they say.

Share with me
all of your pain,
I won't share your love,
I need all your love.

All the soldiers say
"It'll be alright,
we may make it through the war
if we make it through the night."
All the people, they say:
"What a lovely day, yeah, we won the war.
May have lost a million men, but we've got a million more."
All the people, they say.

Save me,
I can't be saved,
I won't.
I don't need no love.
I'm a president's son.

All the soldiers say
"It'll be alright,
we may make it through the war
if we make it through the night."
All the people, they say:
"What a lovely day, yeah, we won the war.
May have lost a million men, but we've got a million more."
All the people, they say.

It'll be alright,
It'll be alright,
It'll be right now.

My Lady Four - ...Sometimes The Bear Eats You

Hello Doctor, Hello Doctor,
It seems my body can't control my insisting hand.
And if I let it go much farther,
I'll wake up feeling more and more like another man,
Again.

Hello Mother, Hello Father.
Have you forgotten what it's like to dream again, to plan?

Disaster is arranged,
Well I'm a fighter, I won't be tamed,
You won't be, the one to break me down.
And I know that you've got your ways,
I'm not making claim, to who'd come out on top,
But I'm not giving up.

Since when did you call me your partner?
I'm not your brother, not your father, I'm just a man.
We need each other to move onward,
So think and wonder, Cause I remember who called me a friend,
Way back then...

Disaster is arranged,
Well I'm a fighter, I won't be tamed,
You won't be, the one to break me down.
And I know that you've got your ways,
I'm not making claim, to who'd come out on top,
But I'm not giving up.

Cause I'm not going down!
How stubborn are we?
Controlled by our own big dreams.
But we will let them out!
Cause it's what we need,
To fight, sink or swim,
To struggle,
To see what we can achieve.

So don't call me lazy,
Call me crazy, or you'll see!

Disaster is arranged,
And sometimes I am the arranger,
I'm a danger to my own humanity!
And in the end they'll see!
I'll start their fires, calm their waters,
Cause I'm a laugher, I'm a lover,
And I'm a thief!

Jonas Sees In Color - Luck and Love

Awesome New Republic – Alley Cat

Witness - Home Tonight

Sunrise, sunset, Twenty hour car ride
We're down south and it's gonna be a hard night
We got the Pharcyde playing in the tape deck
Going to chicago where the potholes break necks
Making good time, Dippin on them toll booths
Eating at them diners, Where the waitress gotta gold tooth
I met a kid that said that I should date his sister
That shit would never happen
Cause republicans are bad kissers
But that's tour
In america's backdoor
We get a little love
Then it's back to the blackboard
Back north
And then it's back home
Back east
Back still killing me from sleeping in the back seat
I gotta stomach full of fast food chicken
In a back room sipping on a Pabst Blue Ribbon
And I didn't want to listen to your wack crew spittin
But I'm digging the cheap beer and tattooed women

This city's gonna be my home tonight
This state's gonna be my home tonight
This world's gonna be my home tonight
Ain't no place like home

I'm looking for happiness
Where it's hiding in the future
Cause The Wonder Years are over
And I never got with Winnie Cooper
I used to be the skinny loser that could write a thesis
And I'm still a skinny loser but I rip the mic to pieces
But that's a right I keep a refusing to waive
I punch lines so hard that I'm bruising the page
I do it as a student of the loop and break and
Live life like "What would Larry David do with the day?"
It's like that y'all
As a recovering ragdoll
I'm done with shallow women that think that they're Carrie Bradshaw
I mapped all her dips and valleys from the mattress
But I'm still infatuated with the pages of an atlas
That's it
Got the bagged pack quick
Left the television on
But I'm not coming back, miss
Somebody's gotta pay the bills this month
And tonight I've been enlisted just to make a fist pump

Pennsylvania and Arizona
South Dakota and New York City
Been alotta places and I've seen alotta people
But I'm never going home, cause it looks so...

Okkervil River - So Come Back, I Am Waiting
A black sheep boy revolves over canyons and waterfalls.
A black sheep boy dissolves in syringe or in shower stall.

He says
“There’s plenty of time to make you mine tonight,
there’s plenty of time to make you mine.”

He says
“There’s plenty of ways to know you’re not dying,
all right.
Hell, there’s plenty of light still left in your eyes.”

A black sheep boy grows horns,
breathing smoke through his microphone.
The airwaves stretch and they groan, bleeding, birthing his black diapason.

Says
“There’s plenty of things to wear when you come to me,
every color of sleeve to be rolled.
Millions of rolling eyes that still cling to me.
Every language of king is concerned.
So why
did you bawl
from the spell of some old holy song
some liar laughed as he composed,
some liar I loved to control?”

A black sheep boy dissolves
in hot cream, in sweet moans,
in each dead bed and empty home,
in each seething bacterium.

Killing softly and serial,
he lifts his head, handsome, horned, magisterial.
He's the smell of the moonlight wisteria.
He’s the thrill of the abecedarian.
See the muddy hoofprints where he carried you?

And there’s plenty of ways to claim his crimes tonight,
and there’s plenty of things to do on his dime.
And there’s plenty of ways to wear his hide tonight,
you’ve got yours, I’ve got mine.
You’ve got yours, I’ve got mine.
So why
did you flee?
Don’t you know you can’t leave his control
only call all his wild works your own?
So come back and we’ll take them all on.
So come back to your life on the lam.
So come back to your old black sheep man.

Says
“I'm waiting on hoof and on hand.
I'm waiting, all hated and damned.
I'm waiting, I snort and I stamp.
I'm waiting, you know that I am,
calmly waiting to make you my lamb”

Belle & Sebastian - Step Into My Office, Baby
She called me up today
Meet me down at the old café
I jumped into the shower
I was getting my marching orders

We need to talk
Step into my office, baby
I want to give you the job
A chance of overtime
Say, my place at nine?

She’d never stand for any lies
She’s got an Out Tray full of guys
I could sense a breath, a whole new feeling
Now she says she wants to call a meeting

We need to talk
Step into my office, baby
I want to give you the job
A chance of overtime
Say, my place at nine?

I’m a slave to work
I’m only living when I walk amongst the office staff
And catch up with the office wag
I’ll be in bed by nine
My curtains drawn
My thoughts composed
I get to work on time

She gave me some dictation
But my strength is in administration
I took down all she said
I even took down her little red dress

We need to talk
Step into my office, baby
I’m going to give you the job
I’m pushing for a raise
I’ve been pushing now for days

My output is in decline
I was burned out after Thatcher
My banner I laid down with a sigh
Now I doubt if I’ll ever catch her

I’ve got to change my ways
Dress for business every day
A sharp suit and a kipper tie
A big arrow pointing to my fly

Have you shaved for work yet, baby?
Don't go where the boss is, baby

We need to talk
Step into my office, baby
I want to give you the job
A chance of over time
Say my place at nine?

Snow Patrol - Shut Your Eyes
Shut your eyes and think of somewhere
Somewhere cold and caked in snow
By the fire we break the quiet
Learn to wear each other well

And when the worrying starts to hurt
and the world feels like graves of dirt
Just close your eyes until
you can imagine this place, yeah, our secret space at will

Shut your eyes, I spin the big chair
And you'll feel dizzy, light, and free
And falling gently on the cushion
You can come and sing to me

And when the worrying starts to hurt
and the world feels like graves of dirt
Just close your eyes until
you can imagine this place, yeah, our secret space at will

Eels - I'm Going To Stop Pretending That I Didn't Break Your Heart
I'm gonna tell you what you need to hear
And i'm a little too late
By three or four years
And it may not make much sense
Now that we are apart
But i'm going to stop pretending
That i didn't break your heart

You see i never thought enough of myself
To realize that losing me could mean
Something like the tears in your eyes
And i want to tell you i'm sorry
And it's too late to start
But i'm going to stop pretending
That i didn't break your heart

And it's christmas eve
Years down the line
Sitting here wishing i'd treated you better
When you were mine
And i have no way of knowing where you are
But i'm going to stop pretending
That i didn't break your heart

I didn't mean to hurt you
I didn't know what i was doing
But i know what i have done

Viola - Shimmery Shimmery (Sha-La-La Love)
Baby, let's do it
Lt's make it through the summer

Shimmery summery sha-la-la love
Shimmery summery
Shimmery summery sha-la-la love
Shimmery summery

Hey, let's calculate
Come up with a catchphrase
For kids to sing throughout the summer
Naïve, innocent and sweet
Some fluffy make-believe
To sell the idea of summer

Rverybody gets a little bit funny
Shimmery summery sha-la-la love
Shimmery summery uu-ah uu-ah
Everybody wants to find their honey
Shimmery summery sha-la-la love
Shimmery summery u-aa
Baby, let's do it
Let's make it through the summer

Whoa, that could bring us dough
Quite catchy even though
It's not as good as Coco Jambo
Well, what the hell
If only it will sell
We can forget it after summer

Everybody gets a little bit funny
Shimmery summery sha-la-la love
Shimmery summery uu-ah uu-ah
Everybody wants to find their honey
Shimmery summery sha-la-la love
Shimmery summery u-aa
Baby, let's do it
Let's make it through the summer

Mandatory reggae part
Autumnal love grows like a rainstorm
Wintery love will keep you warm
Springtime love well it's a bit of a norm
But there's something really special
In that shimmery summery sha-la-la love

Everybody gets a little bit funny
Shimmery summery sha-la-la love
Shimmery summery uu-ah uu-ah
Everybody wants to find their honey
Shimmery summery sha-la-la love
Shimmery summery u-aa
Baby, let's do it
Let's make it through the summer
U-aa u-aa u-aa

Sketch of Ally done between classes the other day.

And another little cute Sai doodle of Ally.

I've finally set about the large task of merging and organizing my THREE folders on THREE different computers. It's a pretty big deal because I need to sort A LOT of art stuff and even more miscellany I've saved over the years. Right now, it's sitting at 14GB. Hopefully I can trim that down significantly. I also need to sort out all my old PSD and SAI files and organize my HIREZ files, as well.

I have an Essay due on...Monday, I think. It's, like, half-done. And yeah, it's on a relatively easy subject (The Simpsons) but...ugh I hate writing essays. Either I feel I'm rambling or I haven't put enough into it. My professor said I've got a good start, however. So I guess I'll just keep running with it.

I also have drawing homework. Ugh.
