A little disappointed in Teefury right now.

I snagged two grab bags when they had that special up ($5 for a random shirt in their overstock). Unfortunately, when I got them both shirts (I have two orders, I got four shirts. I got one order yesterday.) were ones I'd never see on the site. Turns out, since Teefury takes orders all day even on the grab bag days, sometimes they run out of their overstock. So they printed some of the birds from the Furyous Omnibus 2 collab shirt. I ended up with birds #5 and #6 (there's a key for which bird is which on the site) and, while they're not bad designs, many people are really feeling gypped because it's just a white ink print on a color shirt (on of mine is black, the other brown).

I really hope my second grab bag is better. The one I got yesterday was the one I'd ordered alter in the day. I orders one right after they went live, so I'm hoping I got a good selection of shirts instead of...Furybirds.

I mean, it's unlikely I'll be able to get anyone who wants either of them for anything decent on Teetrade, and they're not THAT BAD of shirts but...I guess I expected better? I mean, I wouldn't have cared what I got from their normal backlist, because most are really nice designs. But...white on black (or white on brown) is kinda 'meh'.

Last night was...what the fuck.

First we're woken up by this thumping and skittering noise. TJ flicks on the light and goes 'I think one of the rats is out'. So I do inventory on the ones that can escape (the babies and females are in aquariums) and they're all accounted for. Which means...Chuck the Wild Rat is back.

I move things around after I locate him in the middle room and he, just like last time, bolts out from under the dresser and hits his head on the bathroom door (which was closed this time, I blocked everything off first). He zips back and forth, trying to get in the bathroom to get back out the way he came. Before I went to get down from the dresser I was standing on (I had to peer behind something to shoo him out that isn't accessible from the ground) he managed to SQUEEZE under the bathroom door (where I didn't think there was room to squeeze! He proved me wrong.) and back out into the crawlspace and the garage.

So I found something to keep the drawers shut in the bathroom and he didn't return last night.

However, something new decided to start nesting under the bedroom (because this house is absolute butts) and was generally extremely loud and obnoxious. So we re-located to the upstairs bedroom so we could actually SLEEP.

We had to put Koffing down yesterday. He'd developed a pretty nasty cold and we thought he was picking up, but then his health just went to shit. The vet said he COULD treat him, but the it was likely he'd relapse even worse. And considering how bad off he was, we opted to have him euthanised. It sucks, yeah, because he was such a friendly rat, but it was better for him in the long run.

Dr. Nokes is probably one of the best rat vets we've been to, however. Right there with the one in Bremerton, WA when we took Quidgy and such. He doesn't try to talk down to us about our animals or reccommend treatment that would be costly or even try to push us to medicate an animal when it's best to have them put down. He's commended us on our maturity (I think he thinks we're younger than what we are) and our knowledge about our rats. So I really like that.
