Doodles done one the drive back home from Clearfield. Trying to force myself from an art block.
SO! In news other than lulzy, petty internet drama involving COMIC BOOKS and FANDOM.
The trip to Clearfield was dreadfully boring. Especially Saturday when there was NOTHING to do and it was hot as balls out. Which was about the time we went insane and drove into town to find a library. Saturday evening wasn't bad, though. The people who own the land the lake is on came down and fed the OMG DOZENS OF CATFISH ALL FAT AND HAPPY AND CUTE. We also stayed down there and watched the little brown bats come out and almost buzz our heads while we sat on the dock. They were really cute and came really close a couple times.
We also saw a deer while we were out there. And a creepy little house in the woods.
Overall, pretty boring. Could've been worse, could've been better.
I didn't get to see any meteors but, goddamn do I love nighttime in the country. SO MANY stars. I can only see the bright ones here, but I could see so many tiny ones and clumps of stars twinkling in the dark blue sky. I wanted to just lay in the field all night long.
Now, we're home and it's still hot as balls. Al decided it would be a great idea sometime this weekend and CLOSE ALL THE WINDOWS IN THE HOUSE. Uh, hi. I have ANIMALS. And he's fucking lucky that none of them died from the heat. I cannot believe what an epic level idiot he is sometimes. Why, WHY would you close all the windows if there were animals in a house with no air conditioning? WHY? What would posess you to think that's a good idea?
Bob's coming down tonight. I guess his friend in Chicago essentially ditched him. Which is pretty lame and also quite dumb. So he's supposed to be coming in around midnight, maybe a few hours after. He's driving from Indianapolis.
