How I feel about Civil War.
Ugh. That was a waste of my time. I mean, there were some cool parts but Tony was such a complete asshole and I really felt he was totally out of character in most scenes. It's sad, because now I can see why everyone seems to hate him since Civil War.
And, yeah, I know the whole Civil War thing branches out into the other comics of the heroes involved. But, for fuck's sake, that's A LOT to stuff into SEVEN ISSUES.
I was also highly disappointed with the EXTREME OPPOSING VIEWPOINTS with NO ONE on the middle ground. Really? Seriously. All these superheroes of different backgrounds and upbringings just choosing either black or white (aside from the ones that simply didn't involve themselves at all, of course)? That doesn't fly with me.
I really think Civil War could've been a lot better if, oh, I don't know, Marvel wasn't a bunch of douchebags.

Date: 2009-01-03 07:04 am (UTC)Secret Invasion was also interesting in basic concept. Some parts were executed okay (I loved the Thunderbolts part), but generally it just seemed to serve for Marvel to go about ripping apart their continuity and retconning anything they didn't like. Some character did something strange twenty years ago? IT WAS A SKRULL!
