Way to go, Mattel! Cornering that doll market because you're butthurt about Barbie not being #1 anymore! BAWWWWWW.

Okay, I'm not, like, a HUEG fan of the Bratz dolls (and, no, I don't care about the controversy surrounding them. if parents don't want their kids to have them, they have the ability to GASP not buy them and tell their kid 'NO'.). I think some are cute and, at the time they came out, they had cooler clothes than Barbie. Yeah, they're a little trashy. But then, I'd rather trashy than Barbie telling me I can become a 'mom' or a 'baby photographer' or any other retarded job that caters to things 'women like'.

I'm mostly rolling me eyes over this because it's so goddamn petty on Mattel's part. Even after they brought out the My Scene dolls that resembled Bratz (larger lips and eyes, jointed waist, modern clothes)!

Yeah, I did one of these before with my ACTUAL handwriting (non-tablet handwriting, at least), but this has been going around FA so I loaded up Sai and did it again. Bwee!

I'm thinking of getting a box of cards to send out for the holidays. I always feel bad because I give my address to people who send OUT cards, but I never do it myself. :/ So, we'll see. It's really a matter of GETTING DOWN TO THE POST OFFICE and mailing things out. Which I really need to do with a lot of artwork. Especially all thses sketches. I need to buy new clear covers and stuff, so I can mail things out, as well.

I miss the art store in Silverdale. It was right there and had everything I needed. :/

i agree about how parents just shouldn't buy their kids these things if they don't like them, but that applies to everything and parents are all under their kids' feet these days.
i dunno. barbie is classic, first of all, and at least she had professions, like i said~ a dentist and pilot come to mind first, actually. bratz are trashy and reinforce cliques to me. don't get me started on the names.

what the heck did they sue them for? copyright infringement? a doll is a doll. bratz look nothing like barbie dolls. hell, the lady that invented barbies ripped the design off a european doll back in the late 40s. pshhh. the toy industry is vicioussss.

i've been sending out storebought cards for.. maybe the second or third year now. >_> i usually just draw on the inside. designing full-color cards for every single person who i'm friends with is just too much.
