Still sick. I barely slept most of the day. Kept waking up every few hours and coughing. Once I finally gave up and got out of bed, I felt better once I was upright. I'd love to take another nap, but I know I'll just feel doubly worse when I have to go into work at 4AM.

I got scolded at work the other day about something that happened the other day. Not terribly concerned because it was a once-off thing.

Speaking of work at 4AM, it was long. So long. And I had to work with Crazy Debbie who's been at this store as long as I've been and has no fucking clue what the hell she's doing. I kept sending her off to opposite places to work on things so she was out of my hair and I could work alone. Ugh.

But! I got, like, almost 9 hours of work. Which is awesome. :D

And I actually got read sleep today! I also bought a new pillow, so I feel that may attribute to it.

Apparently, my grandma is in the hospital. She fell again (she's been in a nursing home because my mom's unable to take care of her where she is and with her working all the time) and they think she may have fucked up something in her back so she has to lay flat and it hurts her when she needs to be moved. But my mom says they've got her on morphine, so she's actually herself (her meds make her a little loopy and she has trouble recognizing people she doesn't see often. and I look so different from what she really remembers me as, she usually doesn't recognize me) and she's in good spirits.

But my mom's giving me the 'she might not be around much longer' line again and, yes, that's true. But I can deal with it better when she's crazy senile and doesn't know anyone. It gives me good distance in the familiarity department and if I can think she's not fully aware of her memories and the people in her life, it's easier to deal with if she were to pass.

That didn't make a whole lot of sense.

When she's herself and remembering, it's harder, I guess.

And then having to deal with my mother on top of all that? I know I probably sound insensitive, but I'm mostly worried about a repeat of my uncle's funeral wherein she smoke crack prior to the services and then yelled at me and TJ about something stupid and trivial and...it was just a travesty. Overall. Seriously.

So...yeah.

More Iron Man icons!

Also! I'm revampiong my icon journal, [livejournal.com profile] i_conartist, since I've been making a lot of icons here and there lately, I figure I'll try that whole thing again.
