HA! Right.
Anywho.
I made pico de gallo/salsa tonight. FRESH, even. Like, fresh tomatoes, onions, jalapenos and FRESH, ORGANIC CILANTRO. I've NEVER used fresh herbs before. But, like, after I rinsed them off they EXPLODED with smell. Freaking amazing. I was so happy. The salsa came out good, too. Though I should've gotten more peppers. I was CONSIDERING habaneros, but I was worried about too much/too hot/touching my eye after cutting them. I MAY use them next time, as I couldn't taste the japapenos AT ALL. My only cheat was that I added some taco seasoning, because I wanted more of a salsa flavor and I had nothing else.
I've been playing Animal Crossing again. :X I loves it so. <3<3

Date: 2008-03-06 08:20 pm (UTC)Habaneros are very strong. You should worry about chemical burns to your skin and not just your eyes. I hear working with gloves is a good option with them. (My friend made habanero cookies and burned his hands. :( They were tasty, though.) If you're worried about too much heat, you can chop up some, put in a little, and see how it goes. Save the chopped bits to add later if it's not hot enough.
