Stuff and A GENERAL UPDATE

Finally, a day off of work where I'm not sleeping!

...yet.

I'm very, very tired.

I spent this morning, after coming home from work, cleaning up the living room, moving rat cages around and setting up my *gasp* desk! I stole the desk Bob bought to clean his guns on, since he said he wasn't using it. And sitting on the floor was killing my back. Next goal: to get TJ a desk of some sort.

We scored a HUGE ferret cage off of Craigslist for $35 the other day. So we returned the other ($60) 2x2x2 cage we'd gotten, and made a $25 profit. :D We stuck Quidditch and Waffle in the huge cage, as the girls are too small and Harper and Stanley are too old to have such a huge cage. And Stanley's getting into that erratic movement stage where he doesn't quite have control of his hind legs so well sometimes. So he doesn't need to have the risk of falling 4+ feet. But Quidg and Waff love it. :D

We went out today and splurged on some lunchmeat and pita pockets and hummus to make sammiches and stuff with. I also managed to snag some of the pumpkin pie body wash from Bath & Body Works. It's not the nice scrubby stuff, but it'll do. I also scored a cool Pink Floyd 'Wish You Were Here' shirt from Target. :D TJ found it for me and I squealed with delight. She also found me Mille Bournes at one of the stores in the mall and I squealed with delight there, as well. But I'm waiting to pick up the latter until my next pay. I used to play it ALL the time with my grandmother.

Bob's gone for the night, at work. It's peaceful! Though, he's been in a better mood lately, so I haven't been yelling at him as much about being a douche. I also think I'm PMSing, so I've been yelling at him for relatively petty things instead.

mitsene!! I got your card today! It was a total suprise cause I'd TOTALLY forgotten I'd given you my address for it! Thank you so much! Especially for the little Phe sketch. It's so pretty. <3<3<3 I loves it. I'll have to send you something (and your badge!!) when I get the chance. X3

I talked to my mom today. And my grandmother, who sounded alot more like herself. That was nice. I'm always dreading talking to my grandma because she's just so distant anymore. But it was good to hear her sound more like what I'm familiar with. My mom also told me I should send a card to my Grandpa Milton (on my dad's side) because he might be able to get in touch with my father. And then she went on about how it wouldn't hurt for me to get to know him and so-on-and-so-forth. I told her that, honestly, I don't care. It's not a big deal to me. I'm not hurt or torn up because I don't have a father figure and because he wasn't in my life. Big deal. I've grown up just fine without having to deal with ANOTHER flaky parental unit. Plus, what if, on the off chance, he simply never wanted a kid? Or he felt the whole thing was too much for him. I wouldn't blame him for running off. Hell, I'd have encouraged it! I just don't think my mom understands my way of thinking, really. I mean, if my father did want to contact me, I wouldn't refuse it. And it's not like you can't put my name in any search engine and bring up my webpages. And, with a little hunting, find photos AND baby/childhood pictures of me (what I have left, at least).

So, whatever. Not an issue to me.

TJ's gotten me playing City of Heroes/Villains, since she decided to fire it back up. It's neat, but I just can't keep my concentration on it this evening. I'm more likely to end up using the character creation for hours!! :D :D

I've been working on a new layout for Pipedreams. I'm FINALLY updating it. It's, like, two years outdated. But it looks GOOD now. Like, crazy good. I'm in the process of redoing all the content and such, as it will (mostly) be a catchall site for all of my art galleries. But I think I'm going to add a portfolio of some of my best/favorite pieces. So there's always something there when other places go down. As well as links to my junk directory and all that. I really can't want to get it running. X3

Sometimes the character creation is even more fun than the game, which is probably why I end up with so many alts. Sometimes I get an idea in my head and just have to create a character around it, like my dark/dark scrapper with the rainbow colored uniform named Ronnie James Dio, or when I found out you could customize the war mace into a hammer, I had to create a character named Maxwell Silver.

I can't believe I'm not Generic #<> yet on CoV, Jason, Elliott and myself made a very very very, Venture Brothers themed supergroup last summer. But I admit, the came is very very boring, but seriously, character creation is kickass.

i -really- love the layout! i've been prodding my own brain for an interesting layout for my new site and here you have come up with something that's fun and pretty and unique for yours. haha. it looks awesome :3
