I've been really slacking on updating. Despite the fact that I HAVE had things to update with.

Laaaaaaaaaazy.

We went out to the flea market again yesterday. Cause Al wanted to pick up more cars (he ended up spending $500!). I picked up a little Purrtenders plush and TJ found a little Transformers toy (1986). We still don't know who it is or what it does. He makes some kind of noise. Maybe he was part of a playset or something.

We also ended up chatting with the lady who runs the 80s toy booth and the guy that sells the ooooooooold furniture. They asked about our tails and we told them about furry. And the 80s lady brought up the CSI episode and we all had a good laugh. They told us about Pink Floyd concerts and getting far too drunk for their own good when they were younger. And the guy gave us these little pins from Vietnam, I believe. Something duck. They've got little ducks on them, and I assume they'd button into a uniform or something. I'll have to do some research.

Then we hit up Joanns, and picked up a bolt of the red for we used for the Hellhound last year. For only $32. :D Awesomecakes.

And we had dinner at Quaker State & Lube. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm, wings and fries covered in cheeses and baconses and scallionses. <3

Work...Saturday was...ugh. I worked 7AM-11PM and there was NOTHING for us to do. Seriously. We were told to pull things from overstock. But night crew had already done that. So we went through and pulled stuff from the valances. Which there was very little that would go out. Plus, we found a TON of, like, clearance items that have nowhere to go, so they got shoved up there. D:

I've been sleeping, like, nonstop since we came home last night. I crashed around...10PM maybe? Slept until 4AM or so, got up, checked things online, chatted with people, went back to the bedroom, watched TV, and then fell asleep around 7AM? 8AM? And slept until...uh...6:30PM. Hm. That's alot of sleep. But I'm catching up on all the sleep I've been missing. D:

I haven't drawn in days. I should change the bags I've been carrying so I can take my art stuff with me to work.

Furry fandom will likely not live down that CSI episode anytime soon.

Well, on account of the fact that the CSI episode was actually mostly truthful...

Uh, yeah. There's more truth (and furry tolerance) in the CSI ep (which I actually enjoyed and found quite amusing). Better people remember the CSI one than that shitty MTV sex special. At least in the CSI ep. Grissom (I think that's his name) actually stood up for the fandom, unlike most furries who cower behind buttloads of furry porn while screaming about 'fursecution' and how everyone hates them but they're NOT REALLY 'furverts'.

Bull. You act like you got something to hide, of course people are gonna think you're up to no good. That's why I'm always open and honest when people ask me about it, and 9 times out of 10 I teach 'em about the fandom (they get curious) and they get a new perspective on things.

But most furries are all too happy to whine about how they're being nailed up to the cross instead of standing up for themselves and trying to make people realize the fandom as a whole is like any other group. Sure, we've got sicko freaks, but they're the minority. Just like any other fandom or large group.
