Cause I love showing him off, a dwarf rat me and TJ took in the other day. Along with his cagemate.

We named the little one Smores and the big one Mallocup. And, yes, Mallo is a regular, full grown rat. I need to get pics of the other two we ended up with, as well.

Rats make me think of Willard.. the new movie with Cripsin Glover.

They were so cute in it. :pet pet: Socrates. Hehe.

I didn't know dwarf rats existed. =o.o=

What's their personality like? are they as intelligent as normal rats? I remember a big difference between dwarf hamsters and standard hamtsers. The dwarf hamsters are so angry and evil!

Yupyup. Dwarves are pretty much the same in every aspect except for size. They're also highly resistant to tumors and, I've heard, can live up to 3 or 4 years. And, considering average rat life span is only 2, that's pretty awesome.

They're easier to get on the west coast, too. There's a breeder in Cali and in Washington, I believe. This guy was shipped over, apparently. And that's pretty costly, so we were lucky that he bonded with the big guy we were taking in. :3
