Random techno-computer babble.

Front panel USB ports? I'm there. I saw some on the floor model computers at Best Buy yesterday. I'd really like to get one, cause it's such a pain in the ass to plug shit in to the back of the computer. x_x

I'm also really thinking about snagging a nice USB flash drive, since I'll probably be porting things back and forth between the computers in the house and doing shit with the other computer when I get it up and running. Although, I'd really prefer one with a larger storage capacity... Of course, I'd really like one of the sushi ones. :3 This cat one is really cute, too. Are there any other ones like these? I've seen the ducks and the sake bottle and stuff.

I still NEED this keyboard. ZOMG. It's so sexy. <3<3 The Russians are hardcore.

EE! [livejournal.com profile] jenova_silver's package just came! :O I shall wait until TJ comes home to rummage through it. :D

Back to the geekery! XD

I still need to get more RAM. It's insanely expensive at places like Best Buy and Circuit City. $70 for a 265meg stick? I THINK NOT, GOOD SIR. I just wish I had the money to drop on a couple gigs of RAM. THEN I'd be set. x_x I mean, I can get it off New Egg or eBay (50/50 chance of it going dead in shipping or something, but I could get it really cheap), but I'm so lazy. x_x

For a flash drive, try not to go with somethign that's flashy, it money wasted on the look of it when that money can go into more memory space. Also, if you eat sushi at your computer, you might accidentaly loos it and wonder why your stomach hurts a few hours later.

Frontside usb rox, but i couldnt find it when i was building my computer so i dont have it either, even though there's a spot for it in my case. I recomend TigerDirect.com for stuff like that, or maybe eBay.

As for Ram, i again recomend TigerDirect.com for your bits. good prices, reliable service and good reviews by outside sites. They have everything there, though it's not always in stock. Check it ^^

Hope that helps!

Weird. I got my RAM at Best Buy and it was $40 for 512MB. They may have been having a sale on it though...

Front-panel USB is getting pretty common, anymore. Most motherboards now have at least one spare USB header, and if you're building your own machine, you can buy front-panel snap-ins which connect to 'em.

Yeah, that KB rocks. I saw it many months ago, yet, it's just a Prototype :(

I heard the actual 'products' cause it's a special crafted is like 2000$ *gurk* but yeah, it's too cool.

As far as Ram, just try Ebay! Ebay is your friend for SOO much.

Also, http://www.pricewatch.com Gotta watch, they do alot of bait and switch in advertising, selling shit ram at the lowest price, and the goodstuff at top dollar, but not always.
