Stuff and PETS!

Okay, okay, okay. This post actually has...content? I think. Whatever passes for content in my posts. Which is usually just pictures.

Yesterday was payday and I got more than I expected. After I got off of work went ran errands and picked up things we needed. Went out to Boardman to check out the mall ( we were trying to find TJ a pair of vinyl thigh high boots like we'd seen on sale in Hot Topic, but all they had were size 6 and the Hot Topic in the Southern Park mall didn't have any clearance. Sad.) and to go to Petco to see about finding a buddy for Oz. Yes, I said no more gerbils, but there are exceptions to that policy with me. We were looking at the males they had at Petco, but the littlest one had wet tail, so we opted for not buying any that day (the girl who helped us was actually genuinely concerned about the little guy, amazing!). We went over to PetLand, the worst pet store in the world (no, we didn't plan on buying any animals from there, but they sometimes have really, super cheap nummies and stuff) and this happened. So, we did end up buying another gerbil. And he's doing very well today, he's managed to clean himself up to the best of his ability and he's actually made a nest and is sleeping. Last night, all he'd do was sit on guard and take tiny naps. So I'm happy about that.

This morning, we took Streaky to the vet. We were really worried that he'd have to be put down, but we were ready for it if it came to that. Luckily, he was given a shot (which he took VERY well. didn't try to bite me at all and he really didn't even realize what was going on because he was too interested in going elsewhere.) and some meds to take. We have to take him back for a follow up in a week, so we need to manage our money for that. But at least he's still goin' and he doesn't seem in pain or suffering or anything. He's strong and still eating and he still loves treats and being out with us. So I think he'll be okay for a little while longer.

On the way home we stopped at the Easter Seals sale and grabbed some more sheets for the ratties. We also managed to acquire a Sega Genesis in good condition. Just need to find a proper, non-stripped TV cord for it. >_>;; We also found a COULD BLANKET. My life just might be complete. :O

Tomorrow we go to pick up two new family members, too.

I have to work at 6PM. I close. I hope I close with D. And then I'm off until Tuesday. Whee.

I have sketchies and pictures to share, too. I'm not going to toss them behind a cut, cause they're just reference sketches. But I'm planning (ha!) on doing a reference sheet for ALL of me and TJ's characters. This should take forever. XD These'll be colored sooner or later....

And I'm gradually helping TJ redesign Keeper. Gradually. This is the most recent sketch I've done. Her colors may be changing, but TJ doesn't know yet. I'll probably color this eventually to see how the colors look and everything. But probably not today.
