Okay, so, we're not at home. Yes, we were supposed to go home today. But, uh...we didn't. Why? Cause we ran out of cash, despite planning otherwise. I blame it on all the toonies. Stupid change-money. >_o

So, it's all a matter of when we get some cash before we can go home. And no one at home gets paid until Friday and my mother is completely unreliable. But, at least we have a roof over our heads. So that much is good. And, yeah, we might have enough gas to take us home, but we have to pay tolls and crap. So we're screwed there.

It's very weird being stuck somewhere that's not familiar. But then, this place is getting to be very familiar. I know how to get downtown from the house and I know my way around there pretty well. At least, to get to the places I want to go. Toronto's getting familiar, as well. Or, at least, easier to navigate than I expected. But we haven't been downtown yet...

So, we did the insanely responsible thing and spent most of our money at the Pacific Mall. In our defense, it was mostly on food. Actual food.

What is the Pacific Mall, you ask? It is the HOLY GRAIL of Asian markets. I have to thank [livejournal.com profile] silvemoonwolf for informing us that this place exists. It's freaking HUGE. There's about a bajillion stores, 80% of them being gaming or book or snack stores. They're all tiny, too. It's just such a cool place. Unfortunately, we decided to go on Victoria Day. Which means holiday = shopping day. It was crazy. We looked for a spot for AN HOUR. A freaking hour. But we spent, like, 4 hours in there, so go figure. We need to go back up on a less busy day and take [livejournal.com profile] nachitor, cause there's tons of Gundam stuff and TJ said he would explode with unbridled joy. Or something like that. And I actually managed to eat a meal with chopsticks! Even though I never had before. Yaay me! I discovered that the trick to using them is to not think about using them. It worked. And the teriyaki chicken we had was pretty good. But this place has everything I'd seen at the convention for, like, WAY less. Lots of Gloomy bear stuff and all kinds of trinkets and goodies. I also found a TON of soot sprite from Spirited Away that I wanted, but I held off. o_o But I must go back. @_@ And they had a Para Para machine in the HUGE arcade there. @_@

Anyhow, today has been lazy. TJ's been playing City of Heroes and I've been either sleeping or reading comics. So it's been pretty uneventful. We're going to pick up Matt from work tonight. Taking the mysterious, nonexistent highway. >_>

It's also very cold. And I want to play DDR, but no one will play with me. ;_;

How dare you find an Asian market to rival mine?!

There is no choice. We must make side-by-side comparisons to discover whose is mightier.

I'm betting mine. MIne has a Hello Kitty waffle iron.

Mine has Hello Kitty toasters and crap. I'm betting mine is bigger, too.

LIES AND VILLAINY! Yours cannot be bigger, because you do not have a penis to compensate for!

But... Didn't you once offer to swap sexual organs with her?

*checks in her pants* Oh, wait, that's a banana. Hm. How did that get there...

I have several thoughts on the matter, though most of them involve TJ and a drunken game of Truth or Dare.

Or maybe it was the monkey. Cheeky thing, pretending not to like them.

I'm liking the sound of this drunken Truth or Dare game...

Excellent. Now we must make plans.

Did you say, City of Heroes?

Ok.. you had to go and mention my recent obsession... well, not really recent, been playing for a few months already. But I digress. Who're you guys there and which server?

If you ever head to the Virtue Server, look up Captain Neat-O!

We don't actually have the game, Matt does. And TJ's been playing on Infinity as Hellpuppy and Toyko Titan.

It's also very cold.

*grabs his cloak and wraps you up in it* There. No more cold. And you could probably even get away with using it as a blanket if you wanted.
