There's, like, 6 police cruisers, a drug dog, and about 20 policemen, and every freaking person from our building outside our apartment building. I haven't the vaugest clue why, nor do I really care. I just like the fact that I walked through the crowd, got my stuff from the car and went back inside without a word being said to me by anyone. :D Fantastic.
Today was good. Good as in: A day which we had nothing at all to do, nowhere to be and all the time in the world. So, we went pet store hunting. Found one in Liberty, which had 3 HUGE full-grown beardies. They were so fat. Then we decided to go to Boardman to the PetLand and Pet Supplies Plus. Nothing interesting there. Decided to drive over to Sharon, PA. Stopped at a Bruster's for some ice cream. OMG. They're ice cream is PERFECT. I had cherry vanilla and it was just to die for. :3 Stopped in Hermitage, while were we out that way, at a Pet Supplies Plus. Now, normally, they're decent stores, with workers that usually know something about the animals they carry. Oh, no, not here. Y'see, we found a Siamese colored gerbil. Now, this was an excuse for great rejoicing. Until the blonde haired twat bitches there told us that we couldn't hold the gerbil because one of the small animals had bit someone yesterday (we later found out that the animal was a hamster and the someone was a grown man, who cried over it, I believe). Me and TJ just stared at each other. TJ informed the worker that she wanted to check its health and its sex. The girl said they they'd have to scoop it into a box (all while she was putting a freaking glove on) cause they weren't tame. Huhwha? Why are you selling feral animals then? Asstwats. So, we decided to just buy the poor thing, get it away from these idiots. Once we got her in the car, she was as sweet as can be. Very well tempered and almost fell asleep in my hands a couple of times. She's in good health and very active. TJ's gonna call corporate and report the store. Assholes. And, on top of that, the cashier didn't even answer TJ's question about the guarantee, other than a 'yeah, we do' and that was it. They were all incredible morons.
But, we have a siamese now. Happyhappy. We're pairing her up with one of Willow and Oz's brood. They're getting along well.
After that fiasco, we headed back home, stopped at Suncoast to see about getting promo stuff for Mike at TJ's work. Went over to TJ's work and laughed as some dumbass stuck his -nose- in Riley's cage. Mind you, Riley is a Major Mitchell's Cockatoo. He's big, pink, and mean. As well as spoiled. You don't stick -anything- in his cage, or it will get maimed. So this dumbass sticks his nose in there. I'm standing there just watching him, not saying a word, cause I don't work there, and even if I did, I wouldn't have been on the clock. Turns out, Riley bit him pretty good. He was bleeding, and Riley had blood on his beak and feathers. Dumbass. After that we went over to Buffalo Wild Wings and had dinner. I love their wraps. And TJ boggled the asshat bartender's little mind when she ordered a shot of Jose Cuervo. :D Fantastic. Then we went to take Mike to retrieve his Finding Nemo standees from Suncoast. He was esctatic about it.
And now, we're sitting at home. I have to work tomorrow, but it's only from 10AM-3PM. Then I have the rest of the day to come home and loaf around. Woot.
Also, I had something suprising come in the mail at my grandmas. See, waaaaay back in 2000, I didn't have a scanner, but I did send some images to a nice girl in Cleveland for me to scan. Sent a SASE for her to send them back and everything. Well, I got some, but not all of 'em. I wasn't too concerned about it at the time, cause usually when something's out of my hand/posession I tend to forget about it. Well, my grandma got a small package the other day (thankfully it actually came to her new place, instead of the old one). The girl found them, sent them all back, with a very apologetic letter to me, explaining what had happened. This made me very happy, not just cause I had these back, but because she was nice and honest enough to send them back to me after 3 years. ^_^ So I need to get around to e-mailing her and telling her how much I appreciate it. ^_^
Now, I go to loaf. And find something to munch on. ^_^
