I swear, I'm still alive.

No, really. I've been working my ass off. Both at MCI and Suncoast. I took yesterday off for myself cause I wasn't gonna make it through the week without a day off. Intended on sleeping, but instead Rob came over and we watched Versus and Equilibrium. Both movies rocked. :D Versus was a riot.
I've been working on online comic stuffs, and serious comic stuffs. Yesyes. They're having art/comic classes at Michaels and the guy that's running them said if me and TJ (or, my friend, cause I never did mention her name to him), work out a small one-shot, he'll submit it to the guy he works for and see about getting us published. I thought that was cool, so we'll see what happens. If nothing else, I get to take some college-level art classes. Win-Win situation, the way I'm looking at it.
Uhhh...what else?
Not much, I guess. I think I've got one or two pictures to scan when I get the chance. But that's about it. :P
Also, I intend to make the asshats at TJ's work go explode-y. That, or me and Rob are looking into how we can file charges against them for various reason relating to trying to royally fuck TJ out of a job and everything else she is. >_< They've decided that she's not perky and nice enough to the customers and that she scares them (how this is is beyond me...), and they've told he she cannot wear her 'normal' clothes to work anymore (mesh, novelty t-shirts, bondage jeans, etc...), she has to dye her hair an 'acceptable' color (right now it's a lovely shade of blue-green-blue, and only at the tips), and if one more customer complains about anything about her, she's fired. Yeah. Bullshit, right? Oh, did I forget to mention that she's not allowed to call off because of her cramps anymore? Yeah, they've deemed that a 'personal problem' that she should get fixed. Even though that's the ONLY DAY she ever calls off during a month. And even though she has no possibly way to get that problem fixed (no health insurance, and no doctors would do anything about it anyhow). So, me and Rob have come to the conclusion that she should get fired and go on unemployment for a year. I don't mind working, I didn't do it for a good 6 months. And I think a couple months of TJ loafing around the house would be nice and unstressful for her. We also think that store is being racist because she's the only non-white person that works there, and they fired the other mixed girl a couple months ago. There's just too many things that aren't right about what they're doing. :P
My arm hurts. Ow. o_o

Date: 2003-09-19 08:02 am (UTC)Be sure not to get taken for a ride with this one-shot dealie. See if you can get something in writing, official, with his signature and yours if possible. I never got a contract when I designed all those website skins for Glimworm, and I haven't seen a dime-- and there's nothing I can do about it because there are no records of me doing the work or them agreeing to pay.
