This irritates me. First off, the actual BASE is not mine, it's from 2 Pixel, and this is noted everywhere on Pixely. I always link the bases with the doll. Augh. Also, all she really did was take this doll , put the torso of this base on it and edit it. You can still see where the stars were on the pants, and all she did was cut off the majority of the hair on my doll. Changed the tail, and I swear those aren't the eyes that were originally on the base. :P
Since her journal is friends-only posting:

Actually, the base itself IS NOT mine. It was made by 2 Pixel. I edited the base to add ears and a tail. And besides, those pants are ones I have on my doll. It'd probably be a better idea to go and get the original base and edit that one instead of frankendolling parts from my doll onto another. :P
And here's her reply:
actually, I heavily edited the pants, but hey, if you don't want credit for the idea that's fine with me too.
And I sent this to her:
Well, y'see, that's the thing. It's MY doll. I made the clothes and all that on it. And all you did was come along and edit -my- work. Which really doesn't settle well with me. It's one thing if you just want to tack an ears and tail on a base and give me credit for the idea. I could care less about that. But it's another thing to take someone's work and hack it up like you did. i.e. Editing the pants, and changing the hair. So actually, I'd prefer if you just took the doll down all together and we won't have to worry about any of this again.
Reply back:
And I'll have you know that I'm changing the doll out of respect for you,
but I did not "frankendoll" your doll. I really liked yours so I used at a visual reference, but every pixel I 'clicked' so to speak, myself. But yeah, I'm redesigning it so that you're not pointing everyone in my direction and calling me a theif or whatever, because that was not my intention.
My reply:
Well, you should have at least pointed that out. I just saw that you were linking the 'base' back to my site and figured that you either didn't understand the concept of doll bases, or you were trying to gank my work. So I do apologize for the misunderstanding, but that's just how it looked to me. :P
And the conclusion:
Ah well, I'm sorry I overreacted. I'm having one of those rotten days and this just kinda kicked me in the butt. I haven't been making dolls for a while, so I guess I'm not really great with the lingo. But I did change the doll, mostly because I only made the damn thing because I liked your dolls so much! It was one of those dorky fangirl type of things to do. But yeah, I'm sorry for the blurry plagarism line there, so I've done my best to fix that.
Again, super sorry!

So, that's solved. I really do wish people would point out when they're doing something like that. I'm not all gung-ho for people manipulating others' work, but there's more loopholes with pixel art/dolls than there is with drawings and whatnot. But I'm not gonna pitch a fit over it, cause there's not a whole lot to pitch a fit over. She apologized and that's all I really needed. Just to make sure that she wasn't trying to steal my work.
Maybe she doesn't know the whole doll etiquette or something.
I need to update and detail the rules on my site. Apparently, people don't have common sense like I originally imagined. :P I also need to make a large note that that freaking base IS NOT MINE. >_____<
Anyhow, I need to cal Rob to go to work soon. Auuugh. TJ's not feeling well, so she didn't go to work. :P
