GUESS WHO WENT TO THE ER FOR A TOOTHACHE

IF YOU GUESSED THIS GUY, YOU'RE CORRECT

Oh my god, why even. It started yesterday because I think I broke a piece off one of my molars (hi, my teeth suck) while eating. Ended up going to Giant Eagle at 6AM to find clove oil - OF WHICH THERE WAS NONE - and ended up buying whole cloves to chew instead. They sort of helped, but then I woke up later and it was worse, so I went across the street and eventually found those toothache kits.

It said it's made FROM OIL OF CLOVE. I would assume that means it's clove oil probably cut with something to not destroy anything it touches (okay, I'm exaggerating, but I did rub under my nose after getting some on my hand and good lord did it burn). So I get home and I put some on my tooth and discovered that EUGENOL IS ESSENTIALLY JUST CLOVE OIL (or, more specifically, it's a chemical that's in cloves). So, my gums ended up all sore and irritated because, if you've never used clove oil before, it numbs the mouth and burns a bit. This is why you should cut it with olive oil before sticking it in your mouth. Which is what I did after I discovered that it's straight up clove oil.

So I slept again.

Woke up, tooth is worse. Sat around, cried some, almost threw up, woke Tony up at 2PM and had him take me to the ER before his therapist appointment.

Thankfully, the wait wasn't too long, the whole ordeal was about an hour. I was prescribed penicillin and tramadol for the pain. The tramadol doesn't do much but make me sleepy and woozy. I've pretty much been sleeping on and off since yesterday, though each time I wake up, my tooth feels a bit better. Right now, the pain's pretty much subsided to a dull ache, unless I move my mouth weird or poke at it. On the downside, I still can't really eat anything and I've barely eaten since Monday. I've had some soup, though. Better than nothing.

I really want a milkshake, but standing up and walking around makes me feel kind of dizzy, so I don't trust myself to go down to McDonald's on either the bike or by foot. It doesn't help that it's 91F out, either. But at least the house is tolerable.
