Stuff and STILL NOTHING SPECIAL.
Jan. 30th, 2005 01:40 pmSo then. The computer...thing. I managed to actually get it to install WinXP. Thanks in part to
illuminatus suggesting that one of the RAM sticks might be bad. Removed one at random and XP installed just fine. After a few hours of switching things around and backing up harddrives I get to the task of installing everything on the computer. Then it starts lagging. BAD. Like, takes a good 20 minutes to fully load up and everything. This is strange, as we've got more RAM in this computer than we had in the onld one we were running XP on. Strange. Then, it reboots, loads back up and informs me that the 'master drive has failed'. OH BOY! So we've got to trade in the NEW 40G HD Monday and hope the new-new one we get isn't bad as well. Augh.
We've back over Rob's again, leeching his precious broadband. And TJ's getting her MUSH stuff done. Yay!
I may be able to scan some arts up, if I can figure out how the scanner part of this printer/fax/whatever contraption works. >_>
