...when was the last time I posted? Augh. So much to catch up on...
Not a whole lot going on with me, actually. Been drawing. I'll probably post stuff later. Been spending alot of time at the mall and whatnot. Wandering and shit.
We picked up a breeding pair of gerbils from PetLand in Boardman the other day. A cute lilac male and a pretty cinnamon-colored female. They came from the same cage and all. And it seems the female was the only female in a cage full of males. Poor thing. Brought 'em home and whatnot. They got along fine, although the female would hide and squeak at the male when he wanted lovin's. Understandable. So, we go about or buisness. And...Monday(?) when we came home, we found the male laying in the nest (made mostly out of tissue paper) covered in blood. The female had mauled him, most likely for getting too frisky with her. So I take him and try to clean him up, which doesn't get accomplished very well, cause he keeps jumping every time I touch him. I manage to get most of the blood off of him, and put him in the little cage. I gave him some tissue and some food. He eats a little and starts going about (very slowly) shredding the tissue paper. He'll tear some up and then stop and not move at all for a few minutes (he was still breathing), then he'll snap out of it and do it all over again. Next morning, we find him dead. It didn't suprise me, but I still felt bad. Seemed he started bleeding again, too. I wish there was more I could have done for him, but I guess I did all I could. And I believe he went in his sleep, so that makes me feel a little better.
Monday I was out at Pet Supplies Plus, pratically working. I hung out and helped TJ out in the small animal dept. Well, it was more like, I was tending to the gerbils, and I'd help her move the tanks every now and again. I did help her sell two gerbils, though. Woo! And we brought home another one. But we're not keeping it. Just fostering it. A tiny spotted cinnamon baby. Whoever brought her and the others in (including the two we sold) must have though that, because they were eating solid food, that they were weaned. Which is so not true. And one of its sibilings died the day before. So, we decided to bring it home and take care of it. It's a spunky little thing, too. Eats alot and drinks reguraly. Active and all that. So I think the little thing'll be just fine. As long as I don't get attatched to it.
And why am I calling it an 'it'? Cause I can't sex it yet. And it seems to be missing alot of fur around its hindquarters. Although, the fur wasn't chewed off or anything, just looks like it never grew in or something. We think it might be male, but we don't know.
yeah. Yesterday was spent seeing if we could get store credit or something for the male that died. No, the can't gurantee compatability. Feh. So, we took back the toys we got instead. Drove around, went to the Southern Park mall. Wandered around there for a bit. Stopped at Dairy Queen on the way home. Whee! Ice cream! Brownie Earthquake. Yumyum. Went to The Village. I managed to find a cool asian dragon t-shirt. And a fox Beanie Baby. It's Phe. Had a really entertaining time in the car driving into Warren. Mostly consisted of TJ yelling at me to find a penny, me yelling that I couldn't find one, TJ smacking my cracker out of my hand, me throwing said cracker at her, her throwing it back, me flailing around in the seat, finally finding a penny, and lots of giggling. It was quite fun. Went to Goodwill. Got a pair of silver KikWear pants. They're a little big, but they were only $2. Then, we went to the chinese buffet. Mmm...sushi. I think I pissed the one waiter guy off there. He came by, and asked if I needed a refill. My glass was half empty (or half full, hmmmmmm...), so I said not right now. Cause, I mean, I didn't. I still had pop to drink. He come by again, a little later and asks. I still have pop, so I say not right now. I'm polite about it both times. So, were eating, and when I do need a refill, he's nowhere around. Then, TJ tells me that one of the waitresses was coming over to ask if I needed a refill, and the guy stopped her. She got a confused look, and went to do something else. How can I tell he got pissed? No fortune cookies. Augh. So I simply asked for some. And we didn't leave a tip either. Cause he gave TJ water instead of Sprite. Feh. Usually, it's really good service there, the girls are really nice and all, but I don't know what was up with him.
Now, I need to go and get pop. Whee! And apologies for any horrid typos, cause I know they're there but I have no desire to spellcheck. Deal.
