Goings on~

obliviousally_ljStarted watching Game of Thrones last night. It's quite good! I've never read the books, sometimes reading high fantasy stuff can be a little tedious for me. However, watching it is a different story because everything in GoT is SO. GODDAMN. PRETTY. From the opening to just everything.
MY FAVORITE CHARACTER WAS THE KING, until he bit it. But that's to be expected. I really love Tyrion, Daenerys, Arya, and Jon's growing on me. I have a slight against Jon only because they cast Kit Harrington (his actor) to play FUCKING VINCENT IN THE SILENT HILL MOVIE SEQUEL (which is based on SH3) AND VINCENT IS A SKEEVY, YET SOMEHOW GOOD LOOKING BRITISH MAN, NOT A BOY WITH CURLY BLACK HAIR I HATE YOU SILENT HILL MOVIE WITH ALL THE POWER OF A THOUSAND BURNING SUNS.
But Jon is growing on me, yes. Even despite my previous gripes. At least I can see him as Jon instead of some bastardized Vincent because I'd seen him in GoT graphics on tumblr before they announced the Silent Hill casting.
Classes started up last week. I ended up in Techniques for Multimedia Web Design, Intro to Computer Systems (which doesn't start until October!), and Great Books II. We're reading Notes from Underground by Fyodor Dostoevsky in Great Books and it's not as if it's a difficult read, it's just kind of tedious. Plus, I'm known for completely missing the surface point and finding interesting little subtle points in stuff, so I'm not sure how well my instructor will react to that. Like, we were reading Part II or III, the part with the 'spiteful mouse' and I completely blew past that and ended up commenting on something else.
But whatevs, I figure as long as I'm actively participating and giving people something to discuss, I should be good.
For the Web Design class, our first assignment was to just show that you know the basics of HTML. Just, like, put your name, major, and all that in a document. I, of course, had to be a showoff:
Other than classwork, I've been working at the bookstore on campus. Don't know how much longer I'll be there, probably midway through the month.
