Guess who has a ~biiiiiiiiiiiike~??

I was planning on purchasing one on Friday when I got my paycheck from work, but I saw this one at the Target by the mall and it was on clearance for about what I was budgeting anyhow (around $100). Tony said if I wanted it, he'd buy it for me and I got it! Her name is Mary, by the way.

Also, I haven't ridden a bike in at least six or seven (if not longer) years. This isn't necessarily an issue, it's just a matter of regaining my confidence on a bike. I used to tear ass when I was younger, but now I'm more cautious. Also, there's snow and ice and I have to ride on the roads a lot and I'm not ENTIRELY comfortable road biking on the main roads. I'm also thankful a lot of the roads have bike lanes, but most are covered with snow right now.

I rode up to work last night and failed to remember there's a hill (I loathe that hill so much that I remove it from my memory, apparently), so I walked it part of the way, which was no big deal. My legs don't hurt as bad as I expected, but that's likely because I'm on foot everywhere anyhow. But I biked to work and then I biked down across campus and to the Sheetz to put a little air in the tires because I didn't take into account she'd been likely sitting on the salesfloor for a long while. Then I walked up the hill and rode back home, which was pretty nice. It took about an hour overall, which is pretty good timing.

Then I slept and woke up and, oh god, my ribs hurt and my arms hurt. Wrrrryyyy.

We also acquired a couch! We haven't had one, well, since we moved in. So our living room was just a vast wasteland of nothing. There's the small entertainment center and my old record stand, but not a whole lot else. So we never used it. At all. Having a couch actually makes it feel like a home! We also scored a 75 gallon tank and stand for $25, not sure what's going to go in it yet, though. Possibly a lizard because I don't trust our floors with 850lbs hanging out on it. Plus, we have the smaller aquarium that Angie's mom gave us a few years back if we want a fishtank.

What else has been going on...

The cats are healthy now since I gave them their de-wormer. They seem happier, too.

Rent is paid up to July, landlord is pleased. This time we'll do our Summer applications for school correctly and not have to wait forever to get our financial aid for them. It's ridic because you have to sign up for your classes first, THEN put in an application for summer aid so they can process it by how many hours you have. Despite a snafu, I got mine pretty quickly, but Angie didn't get hers until the Summer semester was over. I don't want that to happen to us.

I'm still waiting on my textbooks. :/ I hope they come next week, at least. I can afford to miss the assignments this week, but I don't want to miss them two weeks in a row. D:
