Exile on Main St.
To most people, the season six premiere was weak and that's understandable. The last four season premieres (not counting the pilot, of course) were pretty exciting because the prior season ended on a cliffhanger (S1 ending with the car wreck, S2 ending with Sam dying and Dean making the deal, S3 ending with Dean in Hell, S4 ending with Lilith and Ruby dead and Lucifer out of his cage and S5 ended with pretty much everyone dying). So coming from Swan Song to Exile on Main St. was a bit of a let down to some people. It felt very much like a pilot and that was the intent. I was under the impression everyone knew that anyhow.

Regardless, I could gush all day long about domestic Dean and Lisa and Ben and eeeee cute. But I left myself very neutral in regards to the changes the characters had over the year Sam was gone and very, very neutral in regards to the Campbells. I'm really interested in learning about how a hunter family functions, since Poe comes from that background.

Two and a Half Men
Everyone was flipping shit about the boys + a babby, which was pretty hilarious overall. But the episode seemed, I don't know, short. They've felt like that this season, like we're not getting enough. But this could be because it's new territory and all, which I can understand. I'm sure things will pick up and a lot of this, I think, is mosting scene setting for the rest of the season.

But the boys trying to deal with a baby was hilarious and, yeah, Dean with a baby is pretty cute, even if I don't like babies. I was really happy with how Lisa dealt with Dean wanting to go back on the road. You can tell they mean a lot to each other and the fact that Lisa is willing to wait around for Dean means a lot. Plus! We get the first appearance of the 'alpha' monster, who are pretty badass.

The Third Man
Castiel's return, which I was indifferent about. Don't get me wrong, I really do like Cas. But the fangirls really annoy me. They're constantly bitching when he's not in an episode and then they're bitching about 'when is he going to come back?!!?'. It's obnoxious. But I do like Cas, when he's in episodes he's relevant in. He's, essentially, in charge of Heaven right now and the whole place is a mess. So he's pretty busy and isn't going to be popping in to help the boys with everything.

Cas was pretty badass this episode and you can see being back in Heaven has sort of hardened him again. He was getting pretty soft and mortal-y towards the end of S5. Balthazar was amazing, like the angel's Crowley.

Weekend at Bobby's
WEEKEND AT BOBBY'S WAS AMAZING. I was really looking forward to it because: Bobby, Crowley and Jensen's directing debut. But the script was doubly amazing and everything just felt right. We discover Crowley's king of Hell and that shit still sucks down there. We learn his name and we learn a new way to kill demons (burning the bones, which does make sense because as mentioned in the episode, demons are essentially spirits).

At the end of the episode, there's dialogue where Sam tells Dean that a 'deal's a deal' when Dean wants to tear into Crowley. There's something in his eyes that make me think he made a pretty heavy deal to get out of the box.

Live Free or Twi Hard
Since this was last night's ep, I'll probably have a bit more to write about it because it's so fresh in my mind. The concept for this episode was hilariou and brilliant. Why wouldn't real vampires take advantage of all the dumb Twilight books and girls wanting vampire boyfriends and all that dumb shit? Supernatural, essentially, takes place in the real world. It's not fictional with strange names for things or anything like that. Though, obviously, they couldn't use Twilight for the name of the books, but there's enough terrible vampire 'novels' out there anyhow, so they didn't need to.

The biggest thing in this episode was Dean becoming a vampire. Which, yes, delicious. But what ended up being the most concerning thing was that, when he was bitten and turned in the alley, SAM WATCHED and didn't intervene until AFTER he'd been infected. In fact, HE SMIRKED. SAMMY, WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO YOU? Later, we discover that Sam may have let his brother become infected to get into the vampire nest and get information about the alpha, which the Campbells are hunting.

When they cure Dean, he gets backwards flashbacks of what happened and he SEES SAM'S SMIRK. DAMNIT SAMMY, WHAT ARE YOU DOING.

At the end of the episode, we see Dean calling Lisa. After he was turned, he went to her place to thank her and be all mushy and he almost fed from her. The whole ordeal wasn't a terribly good moment for him, but I can understand why he did it. Wasn't a good choice, but people don't always make good choices. However, when he calls Lisa at the end of the ep, he gets the machine and then nothing. Sam asks how it went and Dean says 'it didn't' followed by some line about how Sam won't leave or ditch him or something to that effect.

I didn't like that. Dean, don't assume your brother is all there (and I know you have your suspiscions) and don't assume Lisa is against you. Also, I swear to god, if this is how Lisa and Ben are written out of the season, I'll cut a bitch. If Lisa is willing to put up with all of Dean's other bullshit, I'm pretty sure she'll understand things after having some time to calm down and get an explaination.

I'm really curious about what's up with Sam and what he had to do to get out of the box. I'm wondering if it even IS Sam anymore. Is there still some Lucifer lingering around? He couldn't have been down there long, since he said he'd been back for about a year and, apparently, only a year passed between the S5 finale and the S6 premiere. I'll be honest, I'm not really 'feeling' Sam so far this season, but I understand that shit happened in the last year that made him this way. It IS a huge change from S5 Sam to now, so that seems to be making people really hate on him. I don't hate Sammy, I just want to know what's up with him. I need ~explainations~.

Overall, the season feels a bit slow. But, like I mentioned before, it is new terroitory. With S5, we knew how things were going to pan out pretty early on. We knew it was going to end with the apocaplyse and we had a good idea how things were going to get to that point. But S6 really is like S5 all over again, where you don't know what's going to happen or what the end result is going to be.
