Writer's Block: Good eats

MOST
01] Chicken. I love chicken in most any form. Chicken wings, chicken on pizza, chicken curry, etcera. It's probably my favorite meat.
02] Mushrooms. Despite the fact they're such a heavy food, I love snacking on them and I love them both raw and cooked.
03] Bananas. Among other fruit, they're one of my favorites (also, blackberries). Banana-flavored things are pretty much amazing regardless.
LEAST
01] Oatmeal. I want to like it, but the texture and I don't get along. I can eat oatmeal cookies and crunchy oatmeal, but when it's hot oatmeal I just can't deal with it. But it smells so good.
02] Cooked greens. Tony really loves mustard greens and hamhocks, but I loathe the smell of them and only assume they taste just as bad.
03] Venison. Maybe I just didn't have it cooked well, but I really don't like the gamey, weird taste of it.

Date: 2010-10-13 08:10 pm (UTC)i am a freak among southerners, i despise collard/turnip/muster/etc greens.
i don't mind some of them raw, salad-like.
but cooked?
EWW.
also, venison is a very tough meat to cook properly. simply because wild game cooks in a completely different manner. (because of the diet and muscle/fat ratio). when it's cooked right it's divine. deer jerky is nomnomnom too :D
