Today I went to the post office to get a money order, knowing they're onlly open until 2PM on Saturdays.
Only to find out they're closed because it's Patriot Day.

Now I have to make sure I get up extra early on Monday before heading to class to get a money order and give it to the landlord. Instead of just getting up and waiting for him to come over. What a pain in the ass and a huge inconvience.
Speaking of ~today~, I'm pretty tired of the 9/11 stuff I've been seeing on the websites I go to. Already. I'm thankful I don't watch TV because, damn, that would be annoying. Instead, I have Netflix and cats and housecleaning and hunting for Halloween decorations.
Admittedly, things have been pretty boring lately. School is going along well and I'm job hunting again. Once all my money hits the bank, I'll have rent paid up through November. This is good, but I need to acquire work in order to, oh, pay my bills. It never ends. D:
I like my Art History II professor, he's entertaining and I enjoy the way he teaches. I actually want to pay attention to what he's saying. I wish all professors ever were like that. Sadly, however, they are not and more often than not they suck pretty hard.
My VCD class is pretty slow. We're learning InDesign, like I mentioned, and I already have a familiarity with Adobe products already. So after I learned the basics in InDesign, I was already messing around with how to use them. Unfortunately, everyone else in class is a newb at this, so the instructor is taking it step by painstaking step. I'm bored currently and I kind of wish he'd give us an actual assignment because I'm itching to ~make~ something already.
But overall, things have been quiet and lazy. Can't complain about a whole lot outside of the normal money issues. And come January, hopefully those will be cleared up.

Date: 2010-09-13 06:06 pm (UTC)The class I had in the business building (when I used to be a CIS major) started with the sentence "this is your start menu". I immediately started crying.

Date: 2010-09-13 07:21 pm (UTC)I really cannot believe anyone would need to know where the start menu is. And I thought that ten years ago in a high school computer class that was SO basic I had to drop it because I was bored and the teacher wouldn't let me move on through the textbook on my own.
