YES.

This is my schedule for, like, my entire life until December. I don't know how long I'll be at the bookstore, since I'm a temp. But this next week kinda sucks because I'm sick and I work two jobs every Tuesday/Thursday. BUT. At least my rent'll be paid and all that.

I had orientation sort of thing in the Schwebel Room this morning, which wasn't bad at all. I thought we'd just be sitting around, but we actually prepped stuff for Monday, since they're going to be short a kitchen worker. We made a bunch of menu items (there's an everyday menu and then six different daily specials, like salads and soups and entrees). I prepped duck sliders (burgers) and bison burgers, as well as cut up some sweet potato fries.

Overall, I don't think it'll be too difficult of a job. The chef understands we're all new (except for one girl who's been there two years) and he trains new students every semester, so he understands we're all learning. Which is nice.

After that was over, I was roasting. I mean, yeah. I was in the kitchen and wearing a chef's coat and all. But I didn't really even cool down while sitting down and eating something. So when I got to the bookstore, I wasn't feeling really well. I ended up going home only two hours into my shift and I felt bad about it, but I got some work done.

So I came home and slept, which really seems to have helped. My throat isn't all scratchy, but I'm stuffed up like hell. It's progress, though. Hopefully when I need to work on Tuesday, it'll all be cleared up. I only have two classes tomorrow and it's just going to be sitting in class for a few hours. Shouldn't be too bad.

Exciting, I know. :V

Last night, I made Angie bring us some Burger King, since she was trekking out to get some and I like buggingg my friends for free food. So she came over and we bullshat about things, which was nice because we haven't seen her in awhile. She's been working non-stop for the last month or two and I've been working non-stop for the last week or so. So it's been kinda lame.
