Dear Self,

You need to stop buying dresses and skirts if you're not going to wear them. I know you really want to, but the logic that jeans are easier to run and have shenanigans in is sound, but not always necessary. You do not always need to be prepared for the zombie takeover/supernatural apocaplyse/ghosts/demons/mayhem.

Besides, if you wearing a skirt/dress triggers it, isn't that what you really want anyhow?

In reality, the first outfit is for my Grandmother's funeral on Saturday (no, I don't feel black in necessary for a funeral, nor am I wearing black for this funeral). I found the skirt and kind of fell in love with it, so I figured I'd put an outfit together at Gabes and it worked out to be pretty casual and cute. The black dress is actually this from Express and was originally $70. I bought it for $3 and it fits amazingly. I can't even believe it because a lot of stuff at Gabes is either too big or (usually) too small for me.

I need to find some shoes for the funeral outfit, since all I have are black vintage boots and they don't go well at all. I'm figuring some flats or nice sandals will work.
