Heading over to Seattle today for some belated birthday festivities. Which really consist of going to Chinatown, Daiso, and Pike Place. Sorta-kinda-maybe dressing up. Maybe possibly.

Bought a cute little 6x6 sized stack of cardstock. I think I may do badges with them? I'm going to do one or two for myself and see how they look. I also got my fancy stack of fairytale scrapbook paper, cause it was on sale.

Scored a REALLY cute short sleeved, hooded jacket that has STRAWBERRIES on it.

Krispy bought me tiramisu. It is yum. <3

I'm feeling bad about a lot of things that aren't my fault at all. But I'm unable to do anything to help remedy them at this point in time, which makes me sad.

I had to reformat the iriver. Which blows, because I had ALL my MP3s on it. So now I have to spend all that time readding them. Lame.

Went over to Seattle yesterday. We went to the Curiousity Shop, because I loves it so and it's right by the ferry terminal. We trekked up to Pike Place Market, which I also love so. And, being there on a weekday in the morning meant no tourists (they start to come out after noon, I've noticed) and everything was open. It was also beautiful out and pretty warm. Which was awesome. I finally got to try a Grāpple, which DO taste grapey. They were pretty good, and it's the first time I actually had to eat an ENTIRE apple in a long time. The rats would love them, but I wouldn't have bought any if I couldn't get just ONE. Safeway only sells them in packs of four. Which is lame.

We found the Market Spice tea store. We were going to get something, but the girl was too busy flirting with someone. So we said 'screw it'. Also stopped in the comic place again (I didn't get to look around when we were there the first time, cause I didn't feel like unloading my bag at the register). They have A LOT of posters I want, but I didn't want to carry them around all day, so I passed.

Me and TJ had a pretty exceptional fight by the waterfront. I did something stupid, and that's all I'll say on that.

We eventually made it to Chinatown. I'm starting to learn the bus routes and become more familiar with bus signs and stuff. These are things I tend to overlook my first trip or two to a new place, because I'm looking at other things. But it's good to know that the 99 runs for free to Chinatown and drops off right in front of Union Station. That certianly makes trips there cheaper and easier on the feet. I don't mind walking, but trekking up and down those hills and stairs isn't good for TJ's feet and hips.

We did our usual stops in Chinatown, Kinokuniya and Uwajimaya. At Kinokuniya TJ scored a copy of Black Butler/Kuroshitsuzi. It's volume three, and we can't read it because it's in Japanese, but still! I also found a Chinese Ratatoullie coloring book with STICKERS. Which was really the buying factor there. We bought foodstuffs at Uwajimaya, as usual. Ramen and the like. We also finally found Pink Godzilla! It was RIGHT down the road. Like, RIGHT THERE. There's also a nice little hobby store next to it. Which is cool.

Took the 99 bus back to the ferry and headed back home.

Bob was in good spirits, which is something we haven't seen in a few months. We all actually sat around and chatted, and Bob commented on how homosexual Pikmin 2 is (homo as in ghey). The rat babies are doing well, and I took Crepe out to see how she was doing. She's so much smaller and she reminds us A LOT of Silky. They're almost identical. Except, y'know, being of a different gender and size.

I need to go out today and pick up rat pellets and mail some things out. Whee!

Yesterday was awful. Even meeting up with Krispy and the [livejournal.com profile] wa_lolis didn't save it.

We drive into Seattle. Which wasn't that bad. Until we got INTO Seattle and we got lost on 4th Ave. After, eventually, finding our way to the Pacific Science Center, we drop $6 on parking (which is actually pretty cheap) and $11 each on PSC.

PSC is nowhere near worth $11, in my (and TJ's) opinion. Yes, it's neat and there's stuff to do. But it's really more of a kid's place. Which is sad. Cause I love science.

I did buy a really super-cute star necklace and TJ bought some random dino things and a drinky bird. I also bought a pin that says 'Citizen of the Milky Way'.

We finally ran into Krispy and lolis. They had, I assume, gone out to eat first. Everyone was really nice and we chatted for a short bit. I pet a hissing cockroach and they're actually kinda cute up close. We saw naked mole-rats and axolotls (I'm sure I spelled that wrong).

After we departed, we went to Chinatown and drive in circles for twenty minutes looking for a parking space (this is, of course, on par for any sort of Chinatown. I swear.). After finding one, we went to Uwajimaya and Kinokuniya. I love both and, if I were in my younger weeaboo days, would have creamed myself right there between the manga and the artbooks and the stickers and slghdskgnskldghsd.

Just like that.

They also carry CDs! And I located the Miyavi CDs. Which is awesome, cause I wouldn't mind picking a few up.

The drive back was awful. We got lost twice, missing an exit both times, I believe. We ended up getting home at 6:30PM (after a trip to the liquor store) and I got a whopping THREE HOURS of sleep.

Then I went to work.

And there was SO MUCH shit to push. We were there until 8PM and there was STILL product to be stocked in toys.

It was awful.

But now, I've gotten my second wind. I'm awake, I'm perkier, I've got ramen and pop. My feet hurt, but that's okay. I should get decent sleep today (hopefully!) and work tonight. Then I have the next day off.

I wish today would have gone better, but you live and you learn. Next time we take the ferry and walk/bus everywhere. There was alot both my and TJ wanted to see in Chinatown but we were both too pissy and shit by that time to even bother. I also didn't realize Pink Godzilla was down there, as well!

So, today, for TJ's birthday, we too a jaunt over to Seattle by ferry.

It was pretty fun. We went to Todai for sushi and ohgodyums. I bought a lilac candle for TJ (cause I don't have the money to buy her a good gift yet) and we wandered about.

Bob ATE THE RECIEPT from Todai, so TJ wouldn't know how much lunch was.

He balled it up, popped it in his mouth and ATE IT.

FREAK.

At Todai I tried calamari. I've had octopus and squid before, but this was actually GOOD. And spicy. I also tried creme brulee, which was interesting but was quite tasty. Especially the custard part. I also had a small slice of green tea cheesecake. Their sushi was SO GOOD. I had eel and tuna and spicy tilapia and yumyumyum. <3

I like the ferry. And I like Seattle. I didn't take many pictures, but I plan on going over again at some point after I get a job. There's alot of places I wanted to pop into but didn't because of lack of monies. So, in the future.

I thought this would be a longer entry but...uh...no.

Hm.

My feets hurt from walking. I need to pick up insoles for my shoes.

In other news, I'm not browsing DA until I get the money for another subscription. I cannot deal with the ads and I cannot deal with the lack of thumbnails and bullshit. :
