Yesterday was one of those days that just wasn't going to go off without a hitch, no matter how well or far ahead I planned.
Tony had an appointment with his therapist in Ravenna at 4PM. I needed to go and fill out paperwork at the bookstore. We were also going to talk to a lady at the Ravenna Coleman office about emergency rent assistance. We figured, since Tony's appointment was there, we'd go up today if she was able to see us. She was, and it filled in the half-hour gap between the bus dropping us off and the appointment.
So we decide to leave early, catch the bus around 1PM, go up to campus and do my stuff, as well as grab something to eat, since my mom sent us $20.
We wait at the bus stop by the house...and we wait, and wait, and wait, and wait. No bus comes. For almost forty-five minutes, no bus comes. We could have walked to campus, but it was cold and we'd waited that long already, so we crossed the street to catch the bus that loops around through Indian Valley.
Turns out, one of the vans was covering the route during that time and they don't wait at the locations like the regular buses do. When we'd left the house, we saw said van going past, but it's rare that a van will be dispatched to cover a bus route, so we thought nothing of it. The Kent Circulator and the Black Squirrel also run during midday in the vans, so they're common to see. There's also the call-ride vans, too.
That was the first strike.
We get off at Starbucks, because there's a Summit East bus turning at the light. We run to catch it and miss it. The only saving grace is there was another one not two minutes behind it.
On campus, nothing seems appetizing, or it's too expensive. So we get fountain drinks and I fill out my tax stuff. Tony fills out an application for the bookstore, as well, and drops it off. We catch the Campus Loop bus to the front of campus.
Only to get there three minutes after the Ravenna bus has already ran. Livid, we call and leave messages for our respective appointments, so they can be rescheduled.
Second strike.
So we go home, pissed off, and eventually sleep.
Wake up at 3AM to go out and do grocery shopping (it's the best time to do so, tbqh).
Then, we find out Sera Gamble has officially, royally, unapologetically, irredeemably fucked Supernatural up.
Which was the third strike, the icing on the shit cake, the final straw.
In other news, I start work on Thursday and I'll work through the holiday break and into the beginning of next semester. That's good to know.
Still behind on rent, but hoping this rental assistance thing will pan out. If we can get November paid and out of the way, getting December paid during December is possible. If we can get November and December paid, I could actually do Christmas this year, which would be both awesome and amazing.
I had an interview at Macy's last week, didn't get the position.
Other than that, things haven't been too exciting. Animals are doing well, Finnick has blended in well with the rest of the cats. I want to put the big tree up soon, which should be an adventure because I have to re-organize the living room and find out how Finnick reacts to it. Last year, Snickers would sleep in the lower branches.

I revamped my Dark Angel RP forum, because I desperately needed a new skin and I wanted a skin for MY forum that I skinned.

The Roadhouse has been moving along pretty well. There's regular activity and everything! Not a ton of players, but that's alright.
