Watched Watchmen with TJ and Squeeji this evening.

I quite enjoyed it. TJ thought it was really slow (but she was also doped up on dramamine), but I only found it slow in a few places. I need to read the comic, so I'll catch anything my uninformed brain missed.

Rorschach grew on me. I was expecting not to like him. But then CRAZY FUCKING GINGER WTF.

Archie was my favorite character.

I felt pretty bad for Dr. Manhattan, too.

My post is looking a lot like TJ's now.

Overall, the only character I really didn't care for was Ozy. But maybe he has more development in the comic? I don't know, I just couldn't connect with him or anything. But that happens.

TJ's lamenting the lack of Comedian. I'm more concerned with who thought it was a good idea to let him join the team in the first place. Fucking psycho. D: But different psycho than RORSCALKFHGLFDHGKSHFG.

But I did really enjoy it. Everything people were making a big deal about (Manhattan's waaaaaaang, the sex scenes) didn't even phase me. I do see how some people found it overly violent. We're pretty desensitized, but even we were like HOMG WTF SHIT at a few things.

ALSO. My favorite part of the move-going experience was a quote from my mother. Patrick, my gay friend, went with us:

And really, it's one thing to let the Comedian join the team, but why it God's name did Dan decide it was A-OK to team up with him later on? Like, he's obviously fucking crazy, but hell let's join up! No sense to me.

And my disturbing sexually charged love for Rorschach only applies to him in the mask. GINGER DO NOT WANT!!
