We went on ADVENTURE! yesterday.
We decided to head out to the Southern Park mall to check out the Joann Fabrics to see if they had fur for Loki's tail. On the way out, there's a little flea market/antique store called The Wizard of Odds we'd been wanting to check out.

Paramedics sleeping on the job.

Swan lamps.

Giant bottles of whiskey.

Lobster candy dishes.

This dude.

BANANA COOKIE JAR. I wanted this so bad. But the price on it was '$100 FIRM'. Sad day.

Fish bowls!

Watermelon bowl! Plus napkin holder! And salt and pepper shakers!

MORE WHIMSY!

And this dude in the Southern Park mall.
I bought TJ a poster of The Comedian. D: It's huge and is hanging near the bed and I don't think I like him and his moustache much. :E
We tried Five Guys for lunch-ish thing. Quite good! The cajun fries were om nom num.
I bought more letter stickers for badges and a few cute, cheap scrapbook-y things.
Then, we stopped at Giant Eagle and got some snacks and Loki picked up stuff to make lasagna with tonight. Which should be yum!
Rob brought Erin by the other day...

Our room's a mess. D: TJ's was working on craft stuff and I haven't gotten around to vaccuming her corner. D:
I've only read through a bit of the comics we picked up. Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. was pretty good. It was anice to get a better idea of what the fuck they were doing with Tony during Civil War. PLUS! History bullshit in the back of Iron Man in general is fun to read. I swear, he's given a damn suit to, like, everyone he's ever met. I also like comparing the comic stuff to the movie to get a better grasp of characterization and whatnot.
I was surprised to learn that, yeah, Pepper did essentially run the damn company in his stead when he was younger and partying. And Pepper had to TEACH him to be a CEO and professional businessman.
And also that TONY was the one who didn't want to pursue a relationship because of the whole Iron Man thing and whatnot.
TJ pointed out that Pepper's the only woman he REALLY respects. And that's probably the reason she's stuck next to him for so long.
Blah blah blah, geek babble, blah.
I need to read Fables. TJ already has and says it's pretty good. So that's good.
Also, Spider Man Loves Mary Jane is SO GODDAMN CUTE OH GOD I LOVE IT AND I AM NOT ASHAMED.
Mary Jane reminds me of Freckles a little. In her style of dress and appearance, at least. It's a good comparison.

Date: 2009-03-21 08:21 pm (UTC)Hat Man is the only reason our dinky little mall is better than your...not...so...dinky mall. I caught him on Valentine's Day and got him to give me a hug.

Date: 2009-03-21 08:33 pm (UTC)Man, there's so many stores that've close in the SP mall. D: I'm always shocked when our mall seems to have a better variety. Or just...not as many vacant spots, at least.

Date: 2009-03-21 08:44 pm (UTC)SP is going downhill quickly. There isn't even a bookstore anymore, which is just sickening - unless they've gotten a new one in since the last time I was there. As I recall, it had been replaced by a Christmas-themed trinket shop. Blah. Eastwood >>>>>>>> SP forever and ever.
( And I was trying to edit my first comment to put this in, but you commented to it before I could. Tony-related bits: He has, in fact, given a suit to pretty much everyone ever, though a lot of times he was unconscious when they were using them. I have this stupid arc from the 90's where Tony's in a coma and a group of SE employees have to armor up and fight off Ultimo. Tony is also always in a coma. )

BUT HE PERSEVERES. Because he's that awesome.
