It would be just my luck that I'd come down with a head cold as I have a ENTIRE WEEK STRAIGHT of work ahead of me. And I've NO desire to call off because this money will be on my Black Friday check and I'd like to actually indulge with some holiday shopping for once.
Today, at Goodwill, TJ found an original, 1988 Powermaster Optimus Prime for $4. He's missing most of his accessories, but he's in AMAZING condition for a twenty year old toy. No strange chew marks and excessive dirt. And the stickers look practically new. Whoever had it kept it in decent condition.
I feel like I spent too much money today with nothing to show for it. But I bought FOOD, which is good. K-Mart had roasts buy-one-get-one, so we got two. Because we haven't had roast in awhile. I also picked up house stuff and kitchen things. Not much in the way of frivilous things. I did scroe TJ the Final Fantasy Tactics game for the PSP for, like, $10 because it was on clearance at my work and she enjoys those.
I still really need a new sketchbook and it's beginning to piss me off. And, while they're cheap online, I'm raped in shipping fees. :/ And the hardcovers I prefer are really expensive here. I know I'm paying the same price either way but...ugggh. I think I'll just browse around Dick Blick and add things to my wishlist (which I will totally not complain about if people buy me sketchbooks and pens because I loves them). At least they'll be there waiting for me.
Gas is finally just under $2/gal. It was $1.99 at Sheetz this morning. Such a relief, even if it's probably temporary. I put a $20 in when it was $2.04 and it almost gave us a full tank! That's nice to see. Much better than having to put $50 in and getting a full tank. Ugh.
I gotta re-write my commission list down. I jot short descriptions of what I need to draw so I can get rough sketches done when I'm at work or waiting at the mall. But it's outdated now, since most of the ones jotted down have been completed. I know I'm neglecting my digital pieces right now, but sketches have been quick to do. I need to at least get roughs down for those. And I need to detail Armania's some more before I send it over to her for an 'okay' so I can get to the fun stuff with it. But, yeah, I know I've been slacking. Hopefully that'll change soon, despite the sick.
Angie's having a Bill Cosby Sweater Christmas Party next month. Oh god, the best part is going to be finding a god-awful sweater and a completely awesomely useless White Elephant gift.
Also,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SQUEEJI
