Screaming TikiCon - Day 1b
Oct. 17th, 2008 10:34 pmSo, after resting and getting some food in our systems, we headed back out to the con. Not a lot to do, however. Things were very calm and going really, really well. So we made ourselves useful by making our rounds around the Expo center and making sure no one was sneaking in or doing anything suspicious.
As we did this, we shopped and browsed.
For the most part, we've been hanging with Terry Huddleston and the guy at the table across from him who's name we haven't gotten yet. And the pair that runs Screaming Bean Cafe in Youngstown, who are quite awesome and we chatted about horror movies with them.
Overall, once the general insanity and frustration of the morning and pre-con was over, things smoothed out. Hopefully we'll have a jump on things tomorrow morning.
We went to the Superman 70th Celebration party thing. Wasn't terribly special, but there was a four foot cake that still wasn't cut before we left. But we were wearing down and decided to head home after giving a few people tips on hotels in the area.
Picked up art for people, Deadpool for
squeeji and Gambit for TJ. I think I'm going to snag one of these for Angie. Although, he's got two other Joker images that are neat, so I'll have to see how money looks.
Might snag the $3 zombie Tony Stark I spotted. Maybe, maybe.
