The trip to the welfare office was, like, four hours long. But I SHOULD be eligible for SOME food stamps. I need to get copies of a few things and send them in, but we'll see.

I need to job hunt downtown. I'm trying to get a jump on things in case we get the apartment. I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but I'm still thinking positive about it.

I realized that the place is probably around the size of Bob's place in Silverdale. I mean, it's set up differently, but it seems roughly the same. That's good, because we fit comfortably there. Smaller kitchen, as well, but that's for the better with me.

Fucking hell, my irivier is pissing me off. Apparently, I just can't leave it to transfer music for an extended period of time or, when I disconnect it, I'm required to reformat it ten fucking minutes before work so I have something to listen to.

Jesus christ. Really? I mean, REALLY? Is that seriously fucking necessary? I just want all my other music on it. I shouldn't have to play this little game.

Maybe I'll try doing it on TJ's computer, as hers transfers music faster.

My family was on welfare when I was little, so I kind of got over the stigma of it, I guess. I'm pretty proud, but it's also not above me to take whatever I can get from the system.

Either updated firmware, or the hard drive has some bad sectors that it needs to clean up. Spinrite can do it, but it's $89.

On the subject of pride and accepting help: It took a year of me being eligible for food stamps and sitting around buying cheap shitty food because it was all I could afford before I decided "uhh I should just go get the food stamps." They give me a substantial amount each month, more than I would have spent on food even before. It really has helped me not only to save money but to eat healthy, too. I'm really grateful.
