Yeah, my screensaver's pretty fuckin' awesome.

I work at 4AM. This is going to be bizzare. My schedule's going to be SO fucked up. So badly. It's going to be a bit difficult to get a good sleep schedule worked out, too. I was going to try to nap, but two hours of laying in bed proved that was futile. So I'm awake and I'd bet money I don't have that I'll be ready to crash out come 5AM or 6AM. Y'know, while I'm at work.

So, last night, I went with my mom to the Rock Showcase thing that they're having downtown all summer. It's all tribute bads, with miscellaneous opening bands. We saw Satisfaction, a Rolling Stones tribute band. They were pretty fucking awesome. Their Keith Richards was OMGDEADON. I'm not really a huge Stones fan, but my mom has always loved them.

Let me see if I can remember most of the songs they did: Time Is on My Side, (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction, Paint It Black, You Can't Always Get What You Want, Angie, Beast of Burden, Sympathy for the Devil, Far Away Eyes, etc., etc.

They freaking encored with Honkey Tonk Women, which me and my mom TOTALLY got up and danced to. And another song, but I don't recall which.

I got a few pics, especially when the caution tape was pulled back and everyone got to go 'on stage'.

It's a bit like living vicariously though all the awesome older folks who were there, as I'd never be able to actually experience a younger Stones concert or anything like that. But it was cool. The people that showed up were cool. There was no ignorant folks (aside from the dumb little ghetto cunts who thre a shoe in the koi pond and I almost beat the shit out of) and dumbassery. And the fact that it's free is a huge bonus. Yeah, they make up their money by not allowing outside beverages/food and charging an arm and a leg for festival food and beer. But, still, awesome.

Week after next is FUCKING WISH YOU WERE HERE. Which I was going to pay $30 to see at the House of Blues. I've heard nothing but good things about them, too.

After that, it's Draw The Line (Aerosmith), Vicious Cycle (Lynyrd Skynyrd), Fins to the Left (Jimmy Bufett; I'm really indifferent about Bufett, but my mom really wants to go and it's beach themed. So it might be fun?), Almost Queen (Queen; I'd actually really like to go to this one!), The Last Waltz (Bob Dylan), Majestic (Journey), Mr. Speed (KISS), Broken Road (Rascal Flatts)/Captain Fantastic (Elton John)/52nd Street (Billy Joel), Ohio (Crosby, Stills & Nash), and Stone Pony (Bruce Springsteen).

And, as much as I'm still PISSED about them PUTTING the ampitheatre where they did (it used to be a beautiful place before they made it 'acceptable'), at least they're USING it for something and I can still get something out of somewhere I always loved to be.

I've been antsy all day. Can't stay in my seat, can't stay still, can't sleep, etc., etc. I think it's because I work in an hour. I just want to get the inital awkwardness of the whole ordeal over with so I can integrate myself into a new co-worker pool. It's such a pain in the ass, like changing schools and having to make new friends. Lame, lame, lame.
