In an attempt to kick my ass back into working on and coloring things, I colored this pic for elusive_aya in ArtRage today. I pretty much suck at painterly things, but it was nice because I didn't have to be tight and precise with my lines. But then my brain goes all perfectionist and makes me try to be precise. It's a vicious circle. She's in a pretty frame because, when I posted the sketch, Savannah said it looked like she was posing for a portrait. So I ran with that. I wanted to add more fancy things to the frame, but nothing was cooperating. Maybe later.

Also, disregard my wangst and bullshit. It always blows over and I'm generally making more of a big deal about it than I should be. Seriously.

Oooo i love the textures. the lace is a neat touch to the BG, continues the overall softness of her portrait :3

ArtRage is a bit like painter, but with a much simpler (and fun) layout. It's free to try, but the trial version doesn't allow you to use certain features or save, I think.
