I would like to announce that Lobar has changed my life.

I was asking for suggestions for albums to download last night before work and Lobar speaks three mysterious words: Trout Mask Replica. I was like, 'okay, that's bizzare enough to warrant a download, despite not knowing WHAT it is'. I then downloaded and went off to work.

When Pena came up on my playlist I was confused and slightly worried. What was this that that damn squirrel had me download?! But, like some beautiful trainwreck, I continued to listen.

It reminds me of something Opossum Ally would listen to, sitting in the swamp.

It's pretty much the most awesome thing I downloaded last night.

I wikied the artist today and discovered he did a lot of work with Frank Zappa. And then EVERYTHING MADE PERFECT SENSE.

Speaking of, I have a Zappa album downloaded that I need to listen to.

I also downloaded Janet Jackson's new album, Discipline. I was mostly disappointed, I prefer Velvet Rope a lot better. But! I did get this much out of it: Discipline and 2nite are pretty much Phe.

I also downloaded the Enchanted soundtrack on a whim. I like Amy Adams' voice, but most of the songs didn't do it for me. I DO however, like Happy Working Song. That's my cleaning mantra from here on out.
