hi, i'm a 22yo. female pansexual/zoosexual furry, i am looking to move by march or in march, right now i'm in rockford, IL, but i am willing to move anywhere if i can bring along my dog, i know i could just go to craigslist and post or find a roommate there, but i rather stay with someone who is zoo friendly, then with someone who would kick me out on the spot if they knew about me, i am also out of the kennel and proud of it ( i even have a clearly visible zeta tattoo )...i guess that doesn't help either...i am willing to pay up to $500 a month including utilities for a non tiny room, depending on the area, to some it is either super cheap or super expensive...i don't expect a ritzy place for that much, it is all i can afford....although if you allow me to decorate my room the way i want it i will love you forever!...

i am a clean person, i don't mooch off of people, i am quiet, although i will occasionally turn up my music, i always clean up after myself, i would be the perfect roommate for someone who is a bit artsy and easy to get along with...i am an honest person, i will never touch your things and i will respect your privacy, i ask the same from you...

i NEED to live with someone who is close to a bus line or who drives a vehicle, i am legally blind so i cannot see all too well...my face is currently 3 inches away from my screen as we speak...

you should also know about my dog, he IS a pitbull which means he gets hyper sometimes...he also loves squeaky toys:), he's non aggressive, but will mouth you during playtime if you get rough with him, he is 100% house trained, no accidents since i have had him..he likes to pick on kitties and chase them around and squish them no matter how many times he gets clawed for it, i dunno how he is around kids, but we have a 7 month old baby and he gets along with her except for the time he accidentally stepped on her foot and squished it...he is a bit of a clutz, he will lick your face off and he will excitedly jump when anyone comes through the door and he is a plushie killer...thats about his only downside...i prefer someone with a fenced in yard so he can run around but it's not required...and if you rent already MAKE SURE your landlord approves of having a dog live in the house, i will be homeless on the street if need be in order to not have to get rid of my partner because their landlord found out about him.

You and I have known each other for awhile, and despite the fact that we seldom talk anymore, I like to think of you as my friend.

However, I felt like I ought to say this. I've seen a number of posts like this during the time we've known each other on Livejournal, and it's rather disturbing. Naturally this is your journal, and I would never argue your right to say what you want to say, but I know that public announcements of what one perceives to be another person's faults have never been impressive to me. Despite what you may think of this person's social skills, or even her life, she hasn't harmed you, and it sounds like she's doing the best she's able to be honest, especially where something very difficult as an unconventional and widely frowned upon sexuality.

I'd just encourage sensitivity towards people who are dealing with their own problems (and by the tone of this post, I think we can assume that you believe she has problems), as well as a bit of thought about how you'd feel if one of your emotional entries were reposted somewhere with a similar headline as yours. Berating someone else does not boost your own status socially.

I'm pretty sure having a sexual fetish for animals /does/ count as a problem. And I'm /generally/ not one to go 'OMGWTF' to people, if they KEEP IT TO THEMSELVES. This not only looks bad on the fandom, but it puts HER in a situation where she's going to have her name smeared all over.

And, quite honestly, I would be less than concerned if someone reposted something from my journal. It's either emo bullshit, that I'm well aware of. Or it's something that's not terribly important. Even if someone was to post something from a locked filter, it wouldn't be a big deal, because I don't keep fetishes that are, well, illegal in most states.

I'm not bashing on her because of her situation. She obviously appears to be on the up-and-up. But there's no need to throw your fetish out there when you could simply say 'I cannot leave my dog behind under any circumstances. Period.'. But, because it's the furry fandom, people feel the need to make their fetishes known, because they feel everyone will be accepting and okay with it. Yeah, sure, she's proud of being a zoophile. Good for her. No one else needs to know that. It's not an acceptable sexuality. She could very well have kept mum about any kinks she had, and STILL would've been able to find somewhere to stay.

I seem to have caused a problem here. Perhaps I should have worded things a little better. My intent was never to debate the issue of zoosexuality, or this person's stability. As in my original disclaimer, I don't wish to debate your right to post whatever you desire in your own LJ. And I know where you're coming from, that such things are used as "ammunition" by people who are looking for problems with furries as a whole, so I can see in a way how this public declaration could be used as a defense mechanism for yourself and other furs, to say "We have nothing to do with this person, or their lifestyle."

I suppose the thought I was trying to express was my concern that it just reminded me a bit much of high school kids who announce loudly in the hallways their distaste for a classmate. It usually prompts a group response of "Ha! Loser!" in quite a few people. Unfortunately, that approach seems to be used very often throughout all aspects of society, beautified in various ways but the same at its core, so in that way, perhaps this truly IS a solution that will make more people realize that furry and zoo are not the same thing. Either way, I'll keep quiet on it.

Ally brings up good points and usually post things that show what's seriously fucked up in our fandom. Really, she's just sharing something with us that caught her attention, albeit on the disturbing scale, usually, lol

Furries that take this fandom so seriously scare me...learn to laugh at yourselves every once in awhile. I mean, come on, we're people who think they're animals! lol!...and the ones that think it's okay to screw real animals? Well...that's just wow...

Oh, and Ally's right, that lady could've completely kept her sexual preferences to herself instead of putting it out there for everyone, including potential roommates, to see. Her bad, not ours. = D

I suppose in retrospect, it would have been better for me to discuss the issue privately, rather than post a comment here. As for the friends' list, perhaps you're right. I would really hate to do that, because Ally and I have had a lot of laughs together over the years, and that's something I cherish. However, this method of dealing with another person is something that I have a great many reservations about. It seems that that makes me the odd-man-out here, so I suppose it would be better for me to stay out of it.

No, wait. She does indeed have a human child. Who is mentioned once in her whole spiel. Now, according to society and what most women tell me, babies are everything to a mother. So why isn't this child mentioned more. Maybe it's just me, but I'd be more concerned having a baby in the house than a dog. Dogs can go in crates or outside. Unfortunately, babies cannot. :/

Most furries (as this was posted on a furry-related community) are either young, don't really want kids around, or shouldn't be around kids (Hi there, Pedobear! What have you come to teach us today??).
