Uuuuugh. My feets and legs hurt.
We went out this morning and made the long and annoying trip over to Seattle. Well, it wouldn't have been so annoying if the ferry didn't have a TWO AND A HALF HOUR LULL between 12:35PM (which we JUST missed because the way the payment for the parking garages is set up here is RETARDED. What kind of fucking system is that??) and 3:00PM. So we bummed around in the COLD terminal, waiting for 3PM and getting gradually crankier to the point where we almost went home. But, finally, we were able to board and set off across the sound.
On the up side, the weather in Seattle was SO MUCH nicer than the weather in Bremerton. Isn't that funny how that works? It was, like, 50F+ and I eventually was able to take my hoodie off and walk. Which was awesome.
We set off wandering, cause we didn't get to do much of that when we went over the last two times. We stopped at the Curiousity Shop which I could spend hours in. I love, love, love it. And I got more pressed pennies! One from the Curiousity Shop and one for the waterfront. I hate the automated machines, though. I like the ones that you have to turn 10000x better. <3
We decided to go to the aquarium. Even though it was, like, $15. It was nice and they had a GIANT octopus and the stupid looking cowfish I like. But why is eerything so goddamn expensive for so little in Seattle? Fucking tourists. D:
After leaving the aquarium I spotted the antiques store. And we went over there. Aaaaaah. Oh god, so pretty and full of old things. I bought some keys, cause they were cheap! Yay! <3<3<3 And the guys who ran it were nice. So that's cool.
From there we too the Habor Steps up to the top of the hill and wandered around, popping into little shops here and there. We intended to head to Pike Place to wander around there, but by the time we got there, the stores seemed like they were closing up. Ah well. From Pike Place I was able to get a better hold on my surroundings and we ran across Pine St. and headed up to Pacific Place to go to Todai and eat, since TJ had her voucher. I was worried that they wouldn't honor it, because it said 'weekend' on it. But it turns out that you can actually use the vouchers any day, the 'weekend' simply covers the weekend dinner price. So now we know! We considered our dinner a 'date' because it was just us for once. XD We had delicious, delicious sushi. Oh sweet lord, their spicy tuna is SO GOOD. Everything there is good. And their calamari is really good, as well. And, I love Todai because it has delicious eyecandy of hot, thin guys in black with ties. <3<3
We poked around Pacific Place for a bit. Went to Illuminations (the candle store) and got a little eggnog candle. And TJ got a little aromatherapy peppermint and eucaplytus candle. We stopped in the bath and body place (whith isn't Bath & Body Works) and TJ found a really cheap peppermint-menthol foot care kit. So I got that for her. We looked around Barnes & Noble for a bit before heading back down to the ferry. We planned on getting the 7:55PM ferry out but, again, we were just a few minutes too late. This time, at least, the wait for the next ferry was only an hour.
The ride back to Bremerton was quiet, we ended up falling asleep off and on before we finally docked. And then we saw that it was COLD and RAINING. Ugh. Screw you, Bremerton. We raced to the car and then headed home (after getting slightly lost taking a wrong turn in Bremerton). We came home and promptly went straight to bed. I just woke up around 7AM. Which isn't bad, cause I'd set my phone for 5AM, but I never heard it go off.
I work tonight, but then I'm off for three days. I have to make sure to give them my number, in case they need anybody to come in. But I'm looking forward to, at least, two days in a row off. I have alot of shit to do. I need to clean rat cages, clean the house, etc., etc.
Oh, we also scored a WIIMOTE and WII PLAY at GOODWILL for $25. :D :D Hardcore awesome.
I need to find TJ a desk. I'm tempted to go back to the Goodwill and see how much the cute black and white desk was. It didn't have a tag on it. :/ And she needs a desk.
Stanley's tumor seems to have gotten bigger. We may have to take him and have him put down. We'll have to see. :/
I got my newsletter for Dr. Sketchy's Seattle this month and I'm a little disappointed in the model they're having: Ms. Honeysuckle Hype. Mostly because she just doesn't seem to interest me. Ah well, there's always Feburary.
