I'm sorting through my stuff, figuring out what I need to take and what I don't and what I feel I HAVE to take and what can stay.

It's very, very hard for some reason.

I think it's because I can't just go 'oh, we'll just come back into town next weekend and grab some stuff' because we'll be 2,500 miles away. That's not exactly the 30 minute jaunt we were able to take from Streetsboro back to Warren. So, essentially, what stays here...stays here. For good. Until I return to the state of Ohio.

It's a little jarring, really. It's always been so easy to end up back in Warren. And now I'm going somewhere where it's not so easy to do.

I have to make sure to take commission stuff. And mail out things the need sent out BEFORE I leave. I have to make sure it's easy to find things around my desk in case I need something mailed out to me.

I really hope this whole thing goes over well. I really, really do. I want us to be on the road on Friday. I want us to be there by Sunday so we have a day or two of downtime before being assaulted by Bob.

I'm really hoping everything we want to take fits in/on the car. I'm pretty sure I can manage it, honestly. I just don't want to have to leave anything behind. Thankfully, my art bullshit fits pretty well in my bags. All, like, three of them. x_x

We've half been considering rehoming a few of the rats. Just so they don't get stressed and, well, so we can make sure we fit what we need. Kelson said he's probably able to take some, which is cool. But we're not sure who we want to part with. We've bonded with all of them, so it's a little difficult. Our leopard gecko is going to [livejournal.com profile] squeeji and, as far as I know, Taylor's (bearded dragon) going with us. We'll need to get a new cage for him, as we can't take his 20gal. But he'll deal.

I want to take my corkboard, but I don't know if I'll have room for it. Ah well, I can buy another.

I should pull down the photos from the wall, as well. And roll whatever prints I'm taking along.

This is very stressful for some reason. I can't quite explain it.

Oh when you come over I'll take you guys out to eat or make you guys something. No need to head off with an empty stomach.

Ah... gotcha, gotcha. Thats the guy that was with you two at AC, right? Hehe.

And, you know, like I tell everyone else from Ohio who moves away... you can check in, but you can never leave! Mwahahah! :D

Though I hope it works out.

Still pondering moving myself... but not sure where though :P

Yeah, same crazy asian man. X3

...you can check in, but you can never leave!

It's SO true.

But, at least, it'll be good to get out of the state and live somewhere else for awhile.

Actually if you want a REALLY pretty place, Oregon :D

I know, I been there, and like 20 other states pass through :P But yeah, gotta watch out, I think it's Mount Hood in Oregon. Trying to take a 'shortcut' across the state.. yeah, took me over that fucker, lol. 75 at groudn level, 1 mile up, like -10 and snow :P not good, lol. Last time I shortcut over a mountain to save 2 hours of driving time :P

He's from Portland, actually. Or, Portland area. I'm not exactly sure on that.

I really wouldn't mind living in Portland. It's got alot of artsy stuff I'd really enjoy and I've heard nothing but good things about the area.

I'm pissed cause we'll be passing RIGHT BY Yellowstone. But I don't think we'll be able to stop. :/

Hah. Yeah, on my way to Cali back in 2000 to Further Confusion, I was REALLY tempted to stop, but, eh. On the way back, through Idaho, I found out an interesting factoid.. the reason they grow such awesome potatoes is because Idaho is like one massive active lava bed. o.o The soil is rich and warm :D how cool is that?

Though on the way there, I went through New Mexico, and I should have turned at Albuquerque, but I didn't :( Woulda saved like 14 hours of driving time UP the length of Cali. :P What people don't realize is that California is 'tall' about 2/3rds of the country tall :P Really annoying when you look at a map wrong.
