We dug Keeper's fursuit head out because she wanted to revamp it for Halloween.

The head was orginally made by [MAKER]. Why are we revamping it? Because it's shoddy work. I hadn't really investigated the entire thing before but there's HUGE seam gaps, extremely loose sewing (like, one snap and a whole chunk of fur is loose), the lines in the ears were DRAWN with MARKER. The mouthline extended much farther than it should have and it was sewn on one side and not sewn at all on the other. It's such a fucking catastrophe. Seriously.

See, back in 05, I believe, Keeper and [MAKER] did a trade/commission. Keeper traded this expensive latex dog mask and some cash for a head by [MAKER] (as well as supplying some fur and the fabric for the face fins). [MAKER] made the first Keeper head (seen here at FC06). Barely any in-progress pictures were sent, which is lame. Keeper later asked if [MAKER] would be willing to touch up a few things on the head. She said yeah and they wanted to remake it since it'd been one of their first heads they'd buil, and Keeper gave the head back for repairs at AC06. She requested it back by mid-October so she'd have it for Halloween.

We got the head back in mid-October, after a bit of jabbing, if I remember correctly. On the upside, the things Keeper asked to be fixed were fixed, but then there were the problems I addressed above.

Seriously, if you're going to make fursuit heads, don't do a shoddy, rushed job. It doesn't matter if these are things that the end user can 'easily fix'. What if it was sent to someone with no craft supplies? Or no way to glue and sew the unfinished pieces? Is it still something they can 'easily fix'?

F'ing christ.
