It was SO sad. Cosplayers are pretty shallow and retarded. And I feel I can justify saying that, having worked at an anime con. And cosplaying. They're pretty pretentious.

A lot of cosplayers are wannabe actors. Hence the pretentious attitude, the piss-poor costume efforts (they're actors, not techs!), and the attempts to turn into a character.

However, some are actually halfway decent... there was a pretty damned well done Colonel Mustang and Rita Hawkeye at NDK last year. Unfortunately, my fucking batteries died both times I saw them. Then there were just the fucking sad bastards being Sephiroth, Envy, and Edward. :p
