Is anyone going to Anthrocon who would be willing to book a room for me? I don't want to use my debit card, cause I have no money there currently. And, well, I don't have a credit card, obviously. But I REALLY want to stay at the Westin. If it turns out that I can't go or something, I will inform you WAY ahead of time.

If this is feasable for anyone, let me know. :O

No, but they put a hold on a certian amount of money. And, on account of me not having money in my account at the moment, that's not a very good plan.

they only put a hold on when you CHECK IN. Not when you reserve. Trust me, I've done this MANY times.

If I can save up the money, I'll probably go. I JUST got approved for my Medicaid, so thats a shitload of cash I don't have to worry about now, and I can save some up.

Though, I'm pretty sure by now the hotel is already reserved, it usually fills up for the block right after AC the previous year :P

Nope, it's only 80% full. It didn't fill up until mid-Feburary last year. And the backup hotel, the Omni, is apparently a million times nicer than the Westin. And the Westin is REALLY FUCKING NICE. But the Omni's a two block walk to the convention center, and me and TJ don't want to have to lug fursuit and art stuff two blocks in the city in July. D:

Aye. Yeah, I been there, done that.

The problem with AC is that I really, and realistically, can't plan on going till almost the week of the con. Murphy always sticks it too me :P

Though, this year I plan on being cognitive of when it is. The biggest obsticle each year is actually getting a ride, and I hope to solve that.

But anyways, how much is it a night for the holtel? Cause I plan on getting a CC/DEBIT sometime in the next two weeks to take care of stuff finally. And sure, I don't mind reservering rooms.

Rooms are, uh...crap. Oh, $110 a night.

However, apaprently (from what I've read on AC's website), they might put a hold on a random amount if you use debit (even if it doubles as a credit card). Make sure you read up on the hotel FAQ and stuff so you don't end up having money there and not being able to use it. D:

Well, I can always get 2 accounts, heh, and throw money into the second for the hotel, then close it afterwards. Most, as long as you have $200 in them, don't give you a demerit. So, it's something to look into. I'll do that tomorrow. Going to go with the bank my dad is at. Never had any problems with them, I'd just switched to another acuse they were the first to offer debit cards in this area. The one I'm going back to didn't before.

Once again, I'll check tomorrow, I'll keep you informed.
