Stuff and FUD.
Dec. 20th, 2006 06:57 pmI really, really need to remember to eat more.
Seriously, my stomach is not happy about the lack of foods being shoved into my mouth right now. And I'm just too lazy to get up and make something.
Hm.

Advice you didn't ask for

A random assortment of canned goods, including:
* Cream of mushroom soup (condensed).
* Canned beans.
* Peas (and/or other vegetables).
* Tomatos (any preparation, but must have one can chunks and one can paste so you can make both soups and sauces).
* Dried beans, including chickpeas (aka garbanzo beans).
* Rice.
A collection of your favorite spices. They're expensive, but you're only using a pinch or so for every couple of servings, so they're worth it. I usually get salt, white pepper, thyme, basil, sage, cardamom, and cinnamon in that order; of course, I've been so poor recently that I haven't been able to buy any of these because I spent it all on cheap canned food or two $1 items at Wendy's. I need food stamps, dammit.
Also, a crock pot is damn useful for the lazy. Load it up with meats and things in the morning and turn it on, have soup or stew or whatever ready by dinnertime. Or just load it up when you're hungry, have some ramen or cereal, and real food will be done about the time you're hungry again (o noes bedtime already?? but is FOOD! I EAT YOU ARR UM NOMNOM mmmmmm).
