Stuff and WTF?

My god.

My family is bizzare.

So, Bud calls. He's obviously had a few beers in him because he's going on and on about how we (me, him, my mom, and my grandma) should spend more 'family time' together and I should meet my cousins and all that shit. And then he puts my Aunt Bevie on the phone, who's also had a few beers. And then I finally talk to my mom who gives me the veiled guilt trip about not seeing her or my grandma and my grandma might not be around for much longer and so on and so forth.

This happens EVERY TIME someone ends up in the hospital or dies or something. It happened when my mom had the stroke and when my uncle died.

They don't seem to realize that I KNOW people are going to die. I'm shocked my most of my family IS still alive. My mom included. I just don't have the same view on death as everyone else, apparently.

It's jsut bizzaro day today.

They'll be pissed about it, but you do have the option of just telling them their own problems: "I'm sorry you want me to be as messed up about this as you are, but I'm not going to be drawn into your drunken, needy, fearful state over a natural phenomenon that you never took the time to understand anything about. I'm going to hang up and ignore the phone now, because you want to scream at me about it."
